The election year has arrived and the quest to defeat Donald Trump continues, but there’s a growing suspicion that this journey’s heroes are living in a fantasy land. Henry sits down with Spectator Editor-in-Chief Ben Domenech to discuss these interesting times the country finds itself in—and be sure to stick around for Ben’s placement of the candidates in the realm of Dungeons and Dragons and popular memes.
And even after last episode’s Festivus rant, Henry still has a bone to pick with DeSantis; plus the Ad of the Week is back with Bernie Moreno’s short but sweet Trump endorsement spot.

I thought that maybe Mr. Domenech had some insight, and perhaps sympathy for the Trump candidacy, but as time went on, his distaste emerged. I don’t think either of these people can characterize Trump’s supporters with any accuracy. Domenech was right in one observation. Trump’s supporters like what happened during Trump’s presidency and they want more. Otherwise they seemed to tie themselves in knots in their eagerness to denigrate Trump and his supporters.
The lack of support for DeSantis hinges on one thing. DeSantis was losing in his first run for governor until he appealed to Trump for an endorsement, then he won. DeSantis is a Trump accolyte who should be campaigning for Trump instead of running against him. Every Republican knows this. Even these guys must know it, but will never say it, because they dislike Trump so much. They have both entered the warm, lucrative womb of the uniparty elite.
Why are we eternally bound to Trump? He changes his positions at the drop of a hat (see abortion, covid lockdowns), so why does everyone have to be loyal to him? He was sent to Washington to do a job for us. We’re not serving him – he is supposed to be serving us.
