Hugh Hewitt joins Beyond the Polls for a rousing discussion of politics at home and abroad. They search for common threads and draw distinctions among the nations seeing populist waves; and they dig in to the Trump-Haley race for the Republican nomination.

Plus, Henry reminds us that the Republican primary wasn’t the only contest held in New Hampshire. Listen to his rant about Joe Biden’s mediocre day in the Granite State and what it could mean for the general election.

Sadly, Hugh Hewitt has a lot in common with Andy McCarthy, except that while McCarthy’s DC-type expertise is like 20 years out of date, Hewitt’s is more like 50 years out of date.

<troll alert> Before I check it out, is it more than 5% Hugh Hewitt vs. 95% ads? Please let me know. If so, I will listen. Thank you. </troll alert>

I was actually surprised at how outdated it was. It was like he hadn’t paid any attention at all for the last 10+ years. Amazing.

Always enjoy Olsen facts, data, breakdowns, minutiae, etc – but wow- not sure why I’d listen to Hewett except to get a glimpse of a past era in political thought.

I stopped years ago, because of that and because his web site is awful, there’s just his podcast of the radio show, the comments/message section stopped working and they couldn’t be bothered to fix it, AND even back then it cost more than Ricochet.

And another teeth-grinder, especially when I was paying $5 or $6/month for just one podcast, was how much time he would spend on Ohio, and Ohio politics, and football, and Ohio football, and baseball, and Ohio baseball, and basketball, and Ohio basketball…
