Christie Makes It Official

From the WSJ:

The New Jersey governor launched his bid in the high school at which he started his climb into politics more than three decades ago with a suc-cessful campaign for class president. In the evening he is scheduled to travel to New Hampshire, the first-in-the-nation primary that is critical to his fortune in the race, to begin a five-day swing of campaign events.

Mr. Christie’s brash persona, his success in trimming benefits of public-sector workers, and his aggres-sive antiunion positions have drawn the attention of GOP leaders hungry for a fiscal-ori-ented centrist Republican with governing experience and a strong stage presence. National donors flew to New Jersey to court Mr. Christie to run as an alternative to Mitt Romney in 2012.

Hey, maybe I should run for president, since everyone else seems to be.

This is great, as it will split the RINO vote.

Not much in the speech. Pretty provincial. Another fire-breathing contender for debate spot #10.

Is there anyone that actually wants Chris Christie to run besides Chris Christie?

His lawyers and consultants?  His accountant?  His publisher?

Love all these establishment types (Bush, Kasich, Christie) fighting with each other to see who can be best at telling conservatives “hard truths”.

Let them eat each other alive.

Yay.  I just threw up in my mouth a little.  Can this guy even garner 5% of the primary vote?

He’s running for pure ego.  There is no angle that I can see where he wins.

He’d be great in one of those “Jack and Shana”-type bickering politicos segments.

You’d have to have to cast an equally boorish and gnarly opponent for him. I’ve got someone in mind, and hopefully she’ll be available.

Maybe the winner will make him the Secretary of Transportation.

Christie did quite well in an hour-long interview on Hannity tonight.

His announcement speech was completely unscripted, a rookie mistake which only a lazy or overconfident candidate would make. He needs to work with writers and pull the pieces of the Hannity interview together into a coherent campaign speech.

Again with the mother? Remember the hideous keynote speech? Apparently Chris is under the impression that he’s the only candidate who had a mother.

Here we go again, it’s the Republicans who have to compromise , so his campaign starts off by attacking his own side while we are under assault from every direction. I’m sure when he realize he was surrounded and out numbered General Custer berated his own troops for not being willing to compromise with the Souix Yeah that’s t he ticket Chris the press will love you if you attack Republicans.
