Drowning in Irony
One thing you can count on: the Left has no interest in being consistent, truthful or rational. They are perfectly comfortable
contradicting themselves or misrepresenting the facts, because, after all, it’s for the greater good. So far no one has told me what the “greater good” actually is, or what’s good about it, but I digress.
Lately, the number of confusing and contradictory statements that have come from the Administration has been startling. I decided to list some of them, and you may find them both alarming and amusing. Some go back a couple of years. I will do my best to represent the understanding of the Left—although “understanding” might be an overstatement. For your aggravation and pleasure:
- Hate Speech–Anything said by the Right that we find distasteful; if Maxine Waters calls for violence, she’s only referring to the heritage of the Civil Rights Movement.
- Free Speech—Only those words that come from the Left are permitted; otherwise, see Hate Speech if it’s from the Right.
- Compassion—Actions taken by the Left that have only good intentions; outcomes are irrelevant.
- Unity—see Compassion
- Governing Cities—Making sure that a mayor outdoes every other mayor on the Left by locking down citizens, terrorizing business owners, and ignoring violence in the streets. There is a secret record being kept of winners and losers.
- Detention Centers—Condemning centers arranged by the Right; if the Left establishes them, see Compassion.
- Filibuster—a rule that was put in place to aggravate legislators who want to pass laws that are unjust and abhorrent to the other side.
- Systemic Racism—A strategy by which the government can enslave all citizens: denigrating and underrating black citizens and intimidating everyone else. (There of course is no chance for escape—you know, it’s systemic, and so whites and blacks are all doomed.)
- Equity—Assuring that all white citizens are acutely aware that they own nothing, and everything they have can be taken away by the government. It’s only fair.
- Diversity on Corporate Boards—all races and genders must be duly represented. Boards will have to expand to at least 50 seats to accommodate all the gender types and ethnicities. In terms of men and women, though, they are still all the same. Except when they’re not.
- Federalism—Meant to ensure that the federal government inflicts states with its power as often as possible; the move to force states to teach Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project are examples.
- The Supreme Court—A subsidiary of Congress that reinforces the passing and legitimacy of Marxist laws and the Leftist agenda.
There are, of course, many more ironies, contradictions, and misrepresentations of the Left. Feel free to add to my list.

The definition of Unity should be: The country is united under the jackboot of the Left.
Shame – Only Conservatives will have a sense of shame. And it will constantly be beaten over their heads…
Stigma: Any sexual or personal behavior looked down upon by religious people, and to be promoted at all costs. See: drug use, promiscuous sex, transgender surgery for children, single mothers with many children, abortion on demand at any stage in pregnancy. Se also: Shame/denial of.
Ah yes, rushbabe, the stigmas are legion, aren’t they? We could expand on that list, such as dressing outrageously, body piercings, vulgar language . . .
And then there’s “Court packing”: Whenever conservative or Republican judges are appointed to the bench.
Orwellian: In the manner George Orwell who was the man who inspired our Ministry of Love and gave us the tools to correct the language as required.

The use of all kinds of definitions to define and proliferate human types in order to divide and tabulate grievances among them, while claiming to promote and calling for “unity.”
Intimidation of juries to get mob “justice.”
The right read 1984 as a warning. The left read it as an instruction manual.
Science – Leftism, promoted by someone in a white coat with an advanced degree.
Racism – Disagreeing with Leftism. A sign that you personally serve Hitler.
Climate Change – Science says we must embrace Leftism or Earth Mother will be angry.
Mask – Amulet of Coronavirus Protection +1, holy symbol of Leftism. Renders the wearer less visible to the monstrous creatures known as Karens, who react to any sight of exposed nose or mouth with psychotic rage, unless exposed person is a Leftist.
Hitler – Ancient being of evil in Leftism. founder of America and conservatism, creator of racism. Currently the only thing preventing Leftism from triumphing. “Like, totally Voldemort and Thanos combined!”
History – The story of Leftism triumphing over the minions of Hitler in their many guises. Any deviation from this narrative is racist.
Murder – the death of a Leftist or useful victim at the hands of a non-Leftist. Any other killing is not murder.
Fake News – Information that claims to conflict with Leftism.
I expect them to create a whole new “woke” dictionary any day, and charge for regular updates since they are far from through, @eridemus!

I am reading John McWorter’s Substack series on Wokedom as a religion. He quotes Douglas Murray (whose Madness of Crowds is worth reading)
And Sigmund Freud eerily predicting the nature of wokedom:
We need to stop deferring to some pseudo-religion and maybe start pointedly asking people why they are so insecure and needy that they immerse themselves in something so ugly, shallow and given to utterly false but mandatory narratives.
I love the idea of doing just this. Although the person would have no idea what I’m talking about, saying I must be a racist. Still, it would be very satisfying.
