Maxine vs. Minneapolis

As usual, Maxine Waters is making things worse. The Democrat Congresswoman flew to Brooklyn Center, MN, to encourage violence in the police shooting of Daunte Wright.

Reporters asked “Auntie Maxine,” as she calls herself, what protestors should do if Derek Chauvin is acquitted in the death of George Floyd.  She replied, “We got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational, we’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.”

To interpret this as anything but encouraging violence is naive, especially for those who condemned Trump’s “stop the steal” rally prior to the storming of the Capitol. But Nancy Pelosi did just that.

“Maxine talked about confrontation in the manner of the civil rights movement,” Pelosi said. “No, I don’t think she should apologize.” In response, Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is introducing a censure resolution.

Like Pelosi, the Biden White House refuses to condemn Waters’s inflammatory rhetoric. When asked about her remarks, Jen Psaki carefully read a pre-approved script that never mentioned the California congresswoman.

The judge in the Chauvin trial had harsh words for House Democrats and said that Waters’s statement gives a pretext for any appeal by the prosecution.

Let’s be clear: Maxine Waters is encouraging riots, looting, arson, assault, and murder. The Democratic Party approves of her message, as does much of the mainstream media. After months of blaming Trump’s rhetoric for the January 6 “insurrection,” they refuse to condemn the far worse rhetoric spewed by the hateful and noxious Rep. Waters.

Impeach. Remove. Bar her from office.

Whatever the outcome of the Chauvin trial, let’s pray that cooler heads prevail.

Yeah, that ought to help, Al.

    Thanks for posting this.

The judge’s comments were good here, but his handling of the case still leaves a lot to be desired. He allowed witnesses for the prosecution who were from the crowd and presented no evidence but said how sad and horrified they were to watch the police kill Floyd. I feel that played to the one-note media coverage that the Maxine Walters of the world use to demand mob violence in the event of an outcome they don’t like.

If I were an artist or editorial cartoonist, I would Photoshop Auntie Maxine leading a mob of looters and vandals, with a speech-bubble spouting her incitement to violence.

I hope this isn’t a surprise to you.  If nothing else, it ought to induce a sense of caution in those who like to “pop off” when something frosts their political pickle on one side or the other.

I used to belong to a small group of folks (all of whom I like very much, in personal terms) who went ballistically bananapants a few months ago when stories came out about Russia (x3) putting bounties on US troops in Afghanistan.  I think we’re finally beginning to find out what was going on there, too. And although the soi-disant “Biden Administration” now says it has “low confidence” in such reports, it didn’t stop Uncle Joe from using them as a means to defame and insult Trump during the campaign, when Trump said, at the time, that he hadn’t been briefed on them and that he thought such reports were false.**

In the long term, I hope that the Left’s plan to destroy and fragment the Right doesn’t work.  But with that, I worry about how much some of us seem to have bought into it and are encouraging it.

**To be perfectly clear, I’m on record, for years here, as saying that I think Trump is a lout, a bully and a boor.  But, compared to the alternative?  Hello?  And if that was the point of your post, then I am in “violent agreement.” LOL.

I have my first vaccine shot tomorrow, and I’m thinking I hope the verdict doesn’t come in before 4, because the drug store is in a neighborhood favored for spontaneous displays of displeasure.

CBS News today reported that one of the jurors is from Brooklyn Center, the city where a cop shot a guy during a traffic stop last week. Keep your ears open for someone in the MSM to note that the city of Brooklyn Center was “founded by a member of the Klu Klux Klan.” I’d lay money someone will say it if the verdict goes the wrong way.

This is not Waters first rodeo – she did the same during the Rodney King Riots in LA (after moving out of the area, of course)

I guess Congressman Waters has everything running like clockwork in her district. There are plenty of pictures of the thriving, gleaming, inviting urban dreamscape that she has represnted ably representated since 1991. Pictures of her district are heartbreaking protraits of homelessness, boarded up buildings and piles of trash that are enough to bring on hopelessness. The pictures of Waters’ home present something of a contrast.

Success like that frees her up to fly halfway across the country to inspire the destruction of a city that she probably couldn’t find on a map.

I ask, like I always do: Why do people who hate this country want to be officeholders?

It’s the Hedley Lamarr party: “I want you to round up every vicious criminal and gun slinger in the West. I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, s***-kickers…and Methodists!” EDIT: What have we come to where a man can’t post an uncensored quote from that family classic Blazing Saddles? [ walks away sadly shaking head ]

I’m seeing ads on youtube for Joe Collins, running against Maxine Waters, whose $6 million mansion isn’t even in her district.

    How can I help?
