“Insight” from Democrat Congressperson

Holy Toledo.  This woman serves in The United States House of Representatives.  She’s not somebody’s drunk aunt, or a wild eyed drug-addled conspiracy-screaming homeless person, or even a Sociology professor.

She’s a congressperson.  Holy Toledo.  I don’t even know how to respond to this.  The police engage in government funded murder.  Because America is inherently racist.  So no more police, and no more jails.  Right.  Ok.  That should go well.  Brilliant idea.

The Democrat Party has serious problems.

Tlaib must feel very threatened by all those police and national guard around the capitol just waiting to break in and murder her.

You joke, but she probably does.

Remember, this is the woman who, upon being sworn in, announced “We’re gonna impeach the m***** f***er.” Except she didn’t say “asterisk.”

Figuring out what goes through the Tlaib mind is far beyond my abilities. Fortunately.

Forget Tlaib’s mind; what does that say for the brains of her constituents?  (Never mind; it’s a rhetorical question.)

You assume they voted for her. It’s more likely the election was stolen for her. I now have a hard time believing any Democrat gets elected legitimately.

Possibly, but when I look at the district she represents, the old saying of “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity” comes to mind…

The members of the so-called squad represent overwhelmingly Democratic congressional districts.  They cannot be beaten in a general election, unless we have an Alaska type of Ranked Choice Voting.  The only way to get rid of her is in the Democratic primary.  I respectfully suggest that my fellow Ricochetti help fund her primary opponent this cycle.  I did so last cycle to seek to defeat both her and Omar.

At the same time, we have our share of deranged Republicans, such as Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Mo Brooks (R-AL), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), and Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA).  We need to clean up our own side of the street.  (I voted for Paul Gosar before he went off the deep end.  He has since moved to a different congressional district.)

How can she in good conscience continue to serve in the national legislature of such an irredeemably wicked country?

Her only defensible course of action is to resign and move to a different, better country.

And please take everyone who agrees and thinks this way with her….

If you can find a better country, Move Already

Before Thalib, her constituents elected John Conyers, over and over again, ever since 1965.  Until he resigned over a misunderstanding about using taxpayer money to settle a sexual harrassment claim.

I like all of them except for Green.

    1. Democrat politicians and the media seem to have learned nothing from prior incidents about the need to avoid a rush to judgment, and to avoid throwing fuel on the fire of (largely unwarranted) racial unrest.  The Star Tribune’s supposedly news story uses extremely opinionated and inflammatory rhetoric.  (This is the paper for which James Lileks works, I think.)

On the contrary. They have learned very well.  By rushing to judgement, and promoting the initial narratives ( Hands Up Don’t  Shoot, I Cant Breathe, Say Her Name etc) they set in stone the public debate,  the premise that these are all symptoms of Systemic Racism, And make the facts that inevitably come out destroying that premise impotent.   Last night I watched rioters in Minnesota on YouTube chanting “Hands Up Don’t Shoot”, even though we all know it was a lie.

The battle is not about facts and truth for them it’s about emotion and mobilizing the masses to help them destroy the existing order.

That is who is to blame for these lies being un-challenged.

And where is every Democrat in the United States? You would think she would be stomped on by her Democrat colleagues, who don’t want to be associated with insanity or stupidity.

Unless the Democrat party has a serious problem.

Since she is against all policing and militarization, let’s start with the Capitol Police and the National Guard in DC.

Some GOP member with stones should introduce the legislation.

Yeah, sitting behind a fence guarded by both the National Guard and the Capitol police, and then saying we need less policing and militarization?

Not less. she says, she wants it gone.  Give it to her.

You can’t make this up. They fired the city manager because he said the officer was entitled to due process. This city counselor went along with it simply because she didn’t want to get harassed by the mob.

Unfortunately, it’s not just the squad. I think that among the 3 stupidest statements in the last decade or so from a congressman there were a predominance of real gems from the Dems- such as:

    1) Hank Johnson: “My fear is that the whole island…will tip over and capsize” referring to Guam and plans to add more marines there.

2)Shiela Jackson Lee: visiting the Johnson Space Center-asked if the Mars Pathfinder took pictures of the flag Neil Armstrong planted.

    3) Gerry Connolly- asking Greenspan (and hoping for a no) “is it actually possible to spend too much money?”. Unfortunately for Gerry, Allen said yes.

I’m not the one to completely flesh this out, but when you look at that, is QAnon such a big deal in the GOP? When Republicans worry about that stuff, it strikes me as really stupid, but I’m not going to get into a big argument about it.

No, please do get into a big argument about it.

It’s dumb. QAnon is a trivial group that barely exists. Nobody knows what it is (although according to surveys, Democrats know more about it than Republicans.) The mythical QAnon threat was invented by Democrats to distract from the actual rioting, looting, and murdering committed by BLM/Antifa groups.

Anyone who thinks QAnon is a serious threat is an unserious person and needs to be shunned.

And yes, I know we have people here who think it’s a serious threat. They should be banned for violating the rule about spreading conspiracy theories.

As has been noted many times, “right wing nuts” are trivial in numbers, and exist well outside the mainstream of the Republican party, while “left wing nuts” are officials of, and speakers for, the Democratic party.

And supposedly ‘Principled’ folks on the ‘Right’ confuse these segments badly. Sad.

What the hell is QAnon? Never heard of them until Jan. 6.  Not too many in California. Is it a cleaner group of Proud Boys? Younger KKK types whose grandads Hoover wiped out in 1967? Are there more than 15?
