France Criminalizes Catholicism
I didn’t think I could be shocked and appalled by anything else in 2020. I was wrong. France has banned public Masses, supposedly due to COVID-19.
Let me explain for non-Catholics. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the source and summit of the faith. We believe the sacraments were instituted by Christ to impart the grace of faith through the sensible signs of what they signify. The Mass is the Catholic faith.
But, it gets worse. France’s 1905 law declaring the separation of church and state is being used to ban public prayer at protests against the ban. Can you imagine? If you cross yourself and get on your knees and pray the Rosary in protest against the ban of the practice of your faith, you can be fined $130 euros — as a start. I’m appalled.
This is while grocery stores, schools, and public transit are still operating. California and New York aren’t quite as bad, but they’re getting there.

The founding fathers are much underrated. The Constitution is short and to the point. They knew where the leverage of tyranny would be employed and put the right circuit breakers in to stop it. Our first amendment comes in two pieces.
Clause 1: Congress shall make no law establishing a state religion.
Clause 2: Congress shall make no law abridging a citizen’s free exercise of their religion.
For the last 150 years, we have been endlessly harassed by the godless Marxist left in their overuse of Clause 1. Everyone seems to forget that the founding fathers believed in limited government. That means a balancing set of constraints. ln other words, Congress should be careful not to establish a religion but at the very same time, it must not be so hostile as to prevent a citizen’s free exercise of their religion. Much more left-wing France in much more left-wing EU Europe wants to play the establishment card over and over again. The lefties don’t give a damn if they destroy religious observance in the process. In fact, they consider the destruction of religious observance a feature of their policy, not a bug.
Time for the church and religious people around the globe to push back and push back hard.

The Catholic League has supported Orthodox Jews in the City of New York. DeBlasio and Cuomo are also trying to shut down Catholic Churches as well going after Orthodox Jews.

As I understand it, adherents can still enter churches and mosques to pray, they just can’t participate in public Mass — or pray in public.
Remember that old saying about being so open minded your brains fall out? Apparently the fruits of the French Revolution and Enlightenment are so much “enlightenment” you turn completely dark. It’s satanic.
Right on. This s not new. The so-called Enlightenment has been a disaster from the start. Didn’t they desecrate Notre Dame (the one in Paris) in the 1790s, turning it into a “Temple of Reason”?
They did it elsewhere, too. Apparently, reason involves a lot of guillotines.
I think the French authorities might have a huge public-relations nightmare on their hands if they tried to shut down a well-attended Mass at one of the major cathedrals. The public is in possession of thousands of cell phone cameras. Just think about the social media storm if all those cameras captured a shutdown attempt on video and posted to the internet.
Yes, that would be quite an image. And not unprecedented.

There is a certain kind of lefty that takes pleasure in damaging religious people. They aren’t the immoral. Those people recognize morality they just want to sneak around it now and then. They aren’t the amoral. Those people just think of themselves as intellectually superior to all that superstition, they just want to have their egos stroked. No, there is a third category the anti-moral. These are the people that blame the religious for everything. No matter how much evidence there is that the religious are the backbone of the country, care for the poor & needy, and create a culture of kindness & decency, the anti-religious have a chip on their shoulder the size of Gibraltar against them.
The anti-religious become Nazis & Stalinists. They will eventually resort to mass murder to express in full their obsession. They delight in making religious faith the scapegoat for their own failed policies and their pathetic perverse culture. They must be stopped.

A disease that takes the lives of 21 people out of every ten thousand cases is treated like the bubonic plague. With people tripping over themselves to gt the vaccine, even though it has not in any way shape or form been vetted.
The French populist yellow vest movement was scorned by most Americans. However, those liberties that are essential to any and everyone in a free society were the root cause of all the yellow vested protestors’ reasons for being out in the streets.
I think it was in spring 2017 that Merkle’s government issued a decree that crucifixes must come down, and no longer be displayed in any building in the German school system. These crucifixes had been displayed in German schools classrooms for centuries.
That edict was issued at the exact same time that inner circle of Globalists were saluting each other over the tremendous success of seeing to it that liberals across the EU nations made it clear that Muslims needed to be allowed in, as “diversity for all” is the motto for many if not all libs.
“Diversity for all” would be a more tolerable slogan if it was not accompanied with “Tolerating the white patriarchy’s various religions must stop, and stop now.”
By 2025, the population of the EU nations will be majority Muslim. I wonder if their various religious practices and icons will then be outlawed?

Earlier this year I watched a video by Michael Voris where he said that persecution is just a few weeks away. I thought “That’s a bit paranoid, isn’t it?”

Praying is no more likely to spread COVID-19 than any other activity involving talking. This is tossing stuff at a dartboard level policy, zero science involved.
The left is engaged in a systematic slight of hand- they proclaim you have the freedom to worship- notice NOT the free exercise of religion. There is a world of difference and those of faith need to stand up for their 2nd amendment rights and not engage the left in this straw man version of the Constitution.

It has been argued that the existence of a “code of the samurai” and/or a “code of chivalry” is not evidence that samurai and knights were particularly virtuous, but rather that samurai and knights were such intolerable miscreants that codes had to be written to try and bring them in to line.
I suppose that one could argue that by this logic the existence of Machiavelli’s Il Principe is not evidence that the Medicis were miscreants, but rather that it’s evidence they cared a great deal about the love of the people (unless he simply wrote it to make the Medicis feel better about being miscreants, which is the most common view).
They are starved for true heroes on the Left, they must settle for a violent addict and his overdose death.
When it comes to moral issues, being able to achieve the standard easily means that it is time to upgrade the standards.
