Quote of the Day: Forgetting Someone?
I can think of an example. https://t.co/KwuvyYgyGw
— Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) February 20, 2020
“Perhaps the most infamous example of Bernie Bro violence occurred in 2017 in what became known as the congressional baseball shooting, wherein Scalise and three other victims were shot during a practice for the congressional charity baseball game. James T. Hodgkinson, who federal authorities identified as the shooter and who died in a shootout with police, was a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter and fit the Bernie Bro descriptor, which has come to encapsulate the segment of Sanders’ insufferable and intolerant far-left supporters, who are mostly young, white males apparently motivated at least in part by racism and sexism.
“Hodgkinson’s ideology was clear from his Facebook account, where he had posted things such as “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co,” and “Republicans are the Taliban of the USA.” — The Federalist
Pretty fast that an attempt at assassinating nearly the entire Congress got memory-holed. Hodgkinson was a left-wing political terrorist/assassin, and a Bernie Bro.

Good call.
It’s been kind of cold in Minneapolis lately, so maybe Eliison won’t mind being torched.
This is such an exemplar of how progressives see the world: Every setback for them is bad, setbacks for others…not so much.
In the twitter thread I particularly liked the guy who suggested that it doesn’t count unless there was a screenshot. So an actual shooting doesn’t count, while a screenshot does.
I couldn’t help myself. I tweeted: When screenshots are outlawed, only outlaws will have screenshots.
He should get used to it for the afterlife.
They are quick to point out our crazies but they seem to have memory lapses when it comes to theirs. And they have way more than we do.
This twitter feed is about the second time I’ve read most of the responses. With all the pictures/embedded videos, it was tough to follow who’s who and what’s going on.
I’ll stick with Ricochet.

The insane thing is how one of Bernie’s defenders basically claimed “well, if they’re violent, they’re not really Bernie Bros.”
“No True Socialist” is rapidly replacing “No True Scotsman.”
Brokered convention. Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeeeee!!!!!!!
Steve Scalise popping up there reminds me of Marshall McLuhan popping up in Annie Hall:

Only one quibble @omegapaladinladin: “Pretty fast that an attempt at assassinating nearly the entire Republican Congress got memory-holed.”
That wasn’t an assassination attempt. It was the People acting in self defense.
