Trump Tweets in Solidarity with Iran
The protests by the Iranian people against their government, ostensibly over the plane shoot down the other day but I think just in general confrontation with the Mullah government, is getting bigger. And Trump tweeted in solidarity both in English and in Farsi:
“To the brave, long-suffering people of Iran: I’ve stood with you since the beginning of my Presidency, and my Administration will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely, and are inspired by your courage,” Trump’s first tweet read.
This is getting big. Daily Mail has video.

What an excellent play.
I’ve read that his tweet was the most popular Farsi / Persian tweet in Twitter history.

The anti-Obama when it comes to supporting the oppessed citizens of Iran . . .
This is the sort of thing we have been missing for decades. Supporting the people has nothing to do with a war. Iran’s regime knows it is weak and besieged at home. The level of incompetence shown in the airliner shootdown is evidence.
I almost don’t dare to hope that the killing of Soleimani combined with the regime downing an airliner and then being caught lying about it will lead to a cascade that puts the mullahs out of power.
Can you imagine the Mideast without Iran stirring the Sunni/Shiite fight? And watching the left try to spin it?
But, of course, when the Iranian mullahs crack down on the citizens it will all be Trump’s fault if some are injured or killed. According to some.
Actually, Obama did everything to hamper the Iranian people’s protests when he was president. Obama favored the Mullahs at every turn.
Keeping my fingers crossed and having a prayer for the Iranian people under my breath.
Oh John Kerry will come out with another inane and pathetic critique.
August 19, 1991: An assortment of hardline Soviet officials put Mikhail Gorbachev under house arrest where he had been vacationing in Crimea and sent tanks to surround the Russian White House to bring down the Russian parliament.
The tanks arrived, took up positions, and traversed their turrets — guns out. Orders be damned.
Oops.
The point is that the Iranian mullahs are in a precarious spot. They might think they know what would happen if they stamp out the protests with brute force, but they don’t — not really. They can’t. When it works, it works. When it doesn’t, the game is over.
