FISA Court: NBC Reports, Kimberley Strassel Comments

Earlier this month, the secret FiSA court publicly rebuked the FBI. From NBC’s report:

The secret federal court that approves orders for conducting surveillance on suspected foreign terrorists or spies issued a strong and highly unusual public rebuke to the FBI on Tuesday, ordering the agency to say how it intends to correct the errors revealed last week by a Justice Department report on one aspect of the FBI’s investigation of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said the FBI made serious and repeated mistakes in seeking to conduct surveillance of Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA.

Considering Horowitz’s damning findings against the FBI, they only received a rebuke. This didn’t sit well with some people, including one Kimberley Strassel of the Wall Street Journal. On Dec. 17, she tweeted about the FISA court’s findings:

Our governmental agencies and their oversight become curiouser and curiouser day by day.

First, we have the Red Queen, Nancy Pelosi, behaving as described by Lewis Carroll: “The Queen had only one way of settling all difficulties, great or small. ‘Off with his head!’ she said, without even looking around.” Second, we have the day to day failures of our alphabet agencies like the FBI, as well as failures of the oversight supposedly provided. Our Body Politic is in trouble.

Then add in the failings of the press, and our Republic does seem to have fallen through the looking glass.

I think somebody need to file a complaint with the Judicial Conference about the judges who approved the bogus warrants. The judges should be removed or otherwise explain why the lies presented in support were sufficiently convincing to go unchallenged.
Somebody need to go under the bus.
Some BS commission or new aspirational guidelines are unacceptable responses to an attempted coup against the President of the United States. The failure of the FISA court to provide even a sliver of protection requires heads on pikes. Don’t much care if a judge is one of them.

CarolJoy, Above Top Secret: 2) Courts have the ability to discipline those who undermine the integrity of a court’s functions. They can even appoint special investigators. Is the court not curious if this behavior happened in other warrants? And if court-imposed sanction is not relevant here, when is it?

John Roberts is a wuss.  It is his job to protect the Judiciary Branch and he seems complicit or compliant with anti-Constitutional behavior.

I see in a headline that Joe Biden promises to nominate Obama for SCOTUS.  Smart politics for Joe and we might as well have actual super-partisans on the court.

I wonder if Judicial Watch is on this. I certainly hope that they are.

There are definite indications that President Obama himself was part of this surveillance cabal, text messages and policy requirements that POTUS be aware of Counter-intelligence investigations. That fact does not make the investigation legitimate but does cast suspicion on Obama. This would make a Senate confirmation difficult unless this cabal wins everything.

“Then add in the failings of the press, and our Republic does seem to have fallen through the looking glass.”

The absolute failure of the Fourth Estate during the HRC Server/Spygate debacle is why, going on four years of DOJ/FBI/IC malfeasance, the Country has still not been given the full story, and the stench of Ukie Impeachment nonsense lingers like a dead fish.

The MSM is complicit in the lie because they so desperately want (D) control of all levers of government.   So now when the MSM is caught in the lie, they pretend it never happened and move on to the next lie.

Check out the latest from the once semi credible left leaning NBC talking face who, through his cumulative Spygate mutterings, has become a colossal nutter joke:

If the House is in such a mood to impeach, these judges sure seem like appropriate candidates. Might be a great issue for House AND Senate GOP candidates to run on as well.

Yes, I don’t think the No-scandal Light bringer can rely on the “I just found out about it like you all, through the paper” this time.

The Newsbusters.org article is so revealing:

Unwilling to admit the media have been actively campaigning against President Trump since before he was elected, Todd seemed to demand that they start a campaign to “market the truth.” His plan was to go around the country and lecture people into believing the media.

But in the middle of those remarks, he seemed to make a critical slip up by angrily declaring: “by the way, if I utter a fact on TV on purpose I get fired.” Obviously, he meant if he uttered a lie purposely he would get fired.

**** Todd’s Freudian slip of “If I utter a fact on TV on purpose I get fired,” is interesting, as well. The remark lends credence to what many of us already believe – that the Talking Heads are paid to exaggerate, befuddle and to outright tell lies to the audience.

We need to find some of this FISA court sloppiness against Democrats, then this issue will be fixed.  As long as this is just a Democrat tool against their opponents it will just be ignored and expanded.

Been dead for a long time, if it ever existed in the first place.  Laws are just weapons the powerful use against the less powerful to be interpreted, twisted, applied, ignored as need arises.
