If You Think They Won’t Seize Your Guns…
Unbelievable. Stephen Nichols, an 84-year-old Korean War veteran who served on the Tisbury, MA, police force for 60 years has had his firearms seized. Here’s what happened:
He was eating breakfast in the local diner, Linda Jean’s, when he commented to a friend that the school resource officer was often seen leaving school in the mornings. When he’d investigated it, he found out that the resource officer at Tisbury school was leaving — after children were present — to get himself a coffee at the Xtra Mart nearby.
Nichols pointed out that anything could happen while the school security guard was gone. He said that somebody could come in and shoot up the school while the guard was gone. Nichols described the situation as the school guard ‘leaving his post.’
And that’s it, folks. A dangerous, violent threat.
A waitress overheard the conversation and called the Tisbury Police Department, and the Police chief and another officer arrived and told Mr. Nichols to get into their police car; they took him to his home where they confiscated his guns. They have taken away his gun license, which he’s had since 1958. He’s been fired from his job as a crossing guard. Nichols was told that he could have been charged with a felony for what he said, but that he wouldn’t be.
After confiscating his guns, they didn’t give him a receipt for them, although Nichols’ son-in-law, who owns a gun shop, has been told he can take possession of the guns and sell them. Mr. Nichols has 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was quoted as saying, “I would never, ever, ever, harm a child.”
I hope he gets a very, very good lawyer. Beto O’Rourke should be proud.

Alaska? You really don’t understand the Leftist mind. There will be no safe state. Some will resist but once the feds turn of their funds the politicians will fold so quick it will not be funny. There is no federalism any more because of the current financial structure.
I hope we have enough Americans who would prefer freedom to servitude. If it is going to come to that, I would rather get rid of the left coast. California does nothing for me. Its politicians are a pain in the butt. Heck, they can have Massachusetts, too.
Oh we do, but when they threaten your family what do you do? Fight and watch your family be damaged / destroyed or bend knee? How many people are people of will and principle?
And it’s hard to tell a dead wife or child that you had principles that outweighed their safety. It’s one thing to risk your own life, but it’s different when it’s your family’s lives at stake.
Anyone doubting that it could happen have forgotten the Waco Church massacre and the Ruby Ridge massacre. Government agents were only too happy to kill women and children. There’s always a Lon Horiuchi available that is willing to shoot a woman in the head while she’s holding a baby in her arms, because they know that the government will protect them from prosecution (and sometimes they are sickos who just like to kill people).
I, for one, am willing to use my natural rights to work to overthrow any government that becomes oppressive, but I will also freely admit that I won’t do anything that will endanger my child or my wife. Terrorism works, especially when committed by government agents.
Pretty depressing prediction of the future. I see in the comments what people won’t do but nothing about what they will do to preserve freedom. Does that mean our rights are expiring? Are they now just permissions? Is that all they ever were? Will they vary from state to state? Or is it the isolated blue cities that should fear the rest of us? Half the enlistments come from the south. SC has Ft Jackson and Paris Island, Alabama has AF OTS, Texas has Lackland AFB. Southern schools embraced ROTC and while blue states restricted it and implemented policies hostile to military recruiters (opt in). I am saying it never has to come to government knocking down doors and pulling a Ruby Ridge or Waco if state leadership says that isn’t the way we do things in our state. I am a grandma. At this point, I will merely the the historian documenting history.
It will be like Concord, FJG.
Dems in power have wanted to disarm us for years but few were brave enough to say so, Feinstein being one of them. Now they step over each other bragging who will go the further to do that. What is really worth discussing is what changed.
1. As the great Michael Walsh says, they never stop they never rest, they never sleep, or something like that. We get a victory and we think the fight is over and move on. They only see it as a road block. They keep pushing. They spread propaganda. They “never let a crisis go to waste.” They just win support one person at a time. They are winning or have won on all agenda items. What is more, many younger people think it is a good thing.
2. They win people over because people don’t know better. They don’t know and appreciate history, they are told to decide based on emotions and victimhood, they never consider the consequences, and so many need to redeem some self-esteem points through moral preening.
3. The left has mastered the use of demagoguery. Why say AR-15 when “assault weapon” and “weapon of war” can paint (false) picture of a rifle in the minds of people who know nothing about guns? Who wouldn’t want a rifle banned if it only belonged on the battlefield? There are reasons both the military and civilians like the AR design and it isn’t because it “sprays” bullets. Or shoots a big bullet.
4. Dems are bold because so many voters are suckers. Your best defense is to educate everyone around you. We don’t do that. We are afraid to talk politics for fear of offending friends and even losing them. I post my 2nd Amendment arguments on Facebook. As long as I rationalize, I get likes. If they are going to vote, perhaps they shouldn’t be spared the opinions of those who will be affected by their votes. Besides, after having to keep my mouth shut for 20 years in the military, I need to make up for lost time.
