Liberal leader in blackface controversy

Justin Trudeau, leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and Prime Minister, has been photographed in blackface twice in his life. Once in a high school performance in which in blackface he sang “Day-O”.

Then much more recently in 2001, he attended a party with an “Arabian Nights” theme in blackface.

And although not being mentioned in this controversy, there is also the 2018 official trip to India. Where Justin Trudeau made a fool of himself on an international stage with his Bollywood wardrobe:

Is Justin Trudeau’s wardrobe malfunction also racist? Does he think that this is formal attire in India?

All of these incidents not only expose Justin Trudeau’s complete lack of judgement but his continual surprise at the criticism he generates. It’s as if his liberalism protects his behavior from media criticism. (If it where just the incident in high school I would let it go because we have all done things in high school, that we would not repeat today.)

I never thought that my handle would be abbreviated down to OCD…

The recent interview on Netflix, these incidents and the India trip debacle, will probably cause Ontario to dump Trudeau. Toronto views itself as a world crass city – and anything or anyone who tarnishes or embarrasses it in front of outsiders (particularly Americans) gets dumped. Toronto seems to think its in a rivalry with NYC, you know, Bay St vs Wall St. Naturally this news would surprise New Yorkers.

I was rather amused when I typed it!

While Toronto is a flea on the back of New York, personally I prefer it.  And walking through Pearson airport I’ve often found myself amazed and the number of different languages and cultures on display.

PET in Montreal? – ranks up there with the worst airports I’ve ever been to (and last time I counted I was at 130 different airports).

Toronto is a nice city, I was there once, about 1972. I dont have a clear memory of it… Other than a photo of wearing a “Beefeater” hat at Fort York. (Just a pair of boots sticking out from under the brim of the enormous fur hat) I think Canada – as a general rule- takes care of its public spaces very well.

I think most people who fly into Montreal go through Mirabel, I have never been to either.

Have never been to Mirabel, but I’ve also never seen any flight itineraries from PDX into Montreal going in there.

What an ineffable little twerp he is.  I remember well when he was born. His father was the Canadian Prime Minister, and he’d been married for barely nine months to a woman thirty years younger, a “flower child” who hung out with the Rolling Stones, Andy Warhol and sundry other superstars of the art and entertainment world.  She was lovely, and seemed kind, and she’d captivated Pierre the perennial bachelor.  They were one of the most admired and adored couples in the world, and she had a similar “beautiful but fragile” vibe to another lovely young feminine icon who’d come along about ten years later, Diana, Princess of Wales.  Three children and six years later, the couple divorced.

The joke at the time was that their first son was born only “just in” time, and hence his name.  Such things probably wouldn’t raise an eyebrow these days, but in 1971, it was still a bit of a nine-month-wonder, so to speak.

He’s always been a prize twit.

    I don’t really care what happens to Trudeau . . .

I guess I don’t really either. But considering that  he dug the grave (of course with the expectation that it was for someone else) I can’t say I’d be terribly sad if it was he who had to lie in it.

Conservatives should push back harder rather than take pleasure when they do it to point out the double standard, because it perpetuates their goals.

Couldn’t agree more. I’d like to hear any of the talking heads say something like: “I don’t think that Mr. Trudeau did anything wrong. Sometimes a costume is just a costume. I only hope that the next time he is tempted to jump on Twitter to virtue signal in a similar situation about behavior that was not intended to offend, he will remember how it felt to be on the receiving end.”

That’s why we call them “double standards.” They expect us to be kind and lenient and excuse these youthful indiscretions. That’s the standard they hold us to. They will never do the same for us.

You must force them to play by their own rules: “Trudeau-CANCELLED!” until they beg us to change the rules. We do not win by demonstrating kindness.

The rule has to be mutually assured destruction. It’s the Share or Steal game. You must keep playing STEAL until the nitwits on the left finally back down.

Great QOTD from yesterday by @omegapaladin that combines both of our views:

“The truth is most conservatives are fine accepting apologies for dumb stuff said or done years ago. Unfortunately, liberals refuse to forgive conservatives so we have no choice but to do the same to you. It doesn’t have to be this way. We only ask for one standard.” – Chris Barron (2019-09-18)

An odd factoid was reported today by the Rebel Media – something that was in the record from before. Justin Trudeau was at this school, The West Point Grey Academy for the 2000-2001 school year when these photos where taken. But for the 2002 school year he started an Engineering Degree at the Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. He dropped out in 2003.

You may remember the Ecole Polytechnique, because there was a school shooting there in 1989, killing 14.

The Rebel Media went to the Academy, to ask if Justin had been fired, or disciplined over these photos, and how they managed to make it into the year book…

A sex scandal has now tried to rear its ugly head:

The Buffalo Chronicle – Buffalo NY

The Chronicle is unable to evaluate the veracity of widespread rumors that Trudeau regularly received fellatio from students while on the private school’s campus.  He worked at the academy as a substitute teacher in drama, social studies, and mathematics.

This is from the same school where Justin Trudeau wore black face when he was 29 years old, and where he was a teacher only for 1 year. Is this the real reason the school got so touchy when media showed up asking questions? As a private school they need to protect their own reputation.
