Omar Glad to be an American?
Representative Ilhan Omar might finally realize she ought to be glad she’s now an American citizen.
The mere accusation of marital infidelity could have resulted in her being stoned to death in her old country, and news reports have raised the strong possibility the Representative is engaged in an affair with a colleague.
In the US, there will be a case heard in court, where her testimony counts equally as with a man’s, where the punishment isn’t death by stoning, where she actually has a chance of being found innocent by a jury of her peers (which could include women).
However, I don’t expect to see Omar wrapping herself in the US flag any time soon . . .

They spend a lot of time together. Both of their marriages are ending at the same time. It seems plausible but from an appearance standpoint, he doesn’t look like he could be related to Omar.

I’m sorry to be so petty but I just find this story too delicious. Is she currently married to someone (in her ‘faith tradition’ or any other way)? Will she marry this guy (in her ‘faith tradition’ or any other way)? Someone said she is of the House of Elizabeth Taylor rather than the House of Islam. Think G-d for the British press as I’m sure all this would be ignored by our media if they could.

Now @Dr. Bastiat. Unfortunately we have depend on the Daily Mail (mostly) and the Guardian to get coverage of things the American press will not or avoids covering (unless its with a pillow). I think its the equivalent of King Edward’s abdication except that the British press was not covering that for fairly honorable reasons and the American press now just don’t want to publish anything that in any way harms a Democrat. So 3 cheers for the Brits! And how about that Boris Johnson and the suspension of Parliament?

None of that old world crapoloa about marital fidelity, honesty, etc. but instead a refreshingly Hollywood lifestyle vibe a la People Mag/Us Weekly/National Equirer replete with financial misdeeds, political rulebreaking, public fibs and a cute-as-a-button contempt for inquiring minds. It’s like she grew up in Beverly Hills or Boston.

Very good point. This is the astounding level of political schizophrenia we see every day by the left. Use the wrong pronoun and you are a misogynist. Honor kill your wife, sister, or daughter because she had an affair with the wrong guy and this is just part of your culture. No need to even acknowledge that honor killing even exists. We must not be Islamaphobic.
The left ties itself in a moral gordian knot every day. So nice to see them trip & fall making themselves appear the fools that they are.
