A Tale Of Two [Investigations] “Matters” II
So … this morning, I’m minding my own business, not looking for trouble or anything to set me off, not reading or commenting in a conversation about “you know who,” when I see a headline at Fox News (I know … I know … one of the wiseacres will say going to Fox is looking for trouble, but I was only looking for what the MSM thought was newsworthy today, keeping myself informed on current events and all of that … but I digress … what was I talking about? Oh yeah, this headline at Fox News):
FBI Scrambled To Respond To Hillary Clinton Lawyer:
Newly released internal FBI emails showed the agency’s highest-ranking officials scrambling to answer to Hillary Clinton’s lawyer in the days prior to the 2016 presidential election … [after] hundreds of thousands of potentially classified emails [were] found on former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s laptop.
The names Page, Strzok, Comey, Baker leap off the page and they indeed were “scrambling.” I mean, after all, Hillary’s lawyer was asking questions and demanding answers of her FBI. Here’s what these newly released emails (solely in response to a lawsuit by the transparency group Judicial Watch) included (when not redacted):
“I received the email below from David Kendall and I called him back,” then-FBI General Counsel James Baker wrote to the agency’s top brass, including Comey, Page and Strzok, in an email. “Before doing so I alerted DOJ via email that I would do that.”
The FBI and DOJ were doing the bidding of HRC’s lawyer. And pronto. Well, after all, they had always shown such deference to HRC and her people. Remember the FBI sham interviews of Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin and others of the HRC team? Federal Judge Royce Lamberth stated that he:
“[F]ound that Cheryl Mills had committed perjury and lied under oath in a published opinion I had issued in a Judicial Watch case where I found her unworthy of belief, and I was quite shocked to find out she had been given immunity in — by the Justice Department in the Hillary Clinton email case,” Lamberth said. “So I did not know that until I read the IG report and learned that and that she had accompanied the Secretary to her interview.”
Hmmmm. Compare and contrast Comey’s FBI treatment of General Michael Flynn with that of Cheryl Mills. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark the DOJ/FBI. As stated in the article by Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton:
“It is big news that, just days before the presidential election, Hillary Clinton’s personal lawyer pressured the top lawyer for the FBI on the infamous Weiner laptop emails,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “These documents further underscore that the fix was in for Hillary Clinton. When will the Justice Department and FBI finally do an honest investigation of the Clinton email scandal?”
This all just chaps my hide … again! After all, just last June, I started a conversation on much this same topic and the utter hypocrisy of the Democrats, FBI, DOJ, and almost all of the commentariat in the MSM. But last June, we were finally hearing that the Mueller probe was nearing its end. McConnell and Sessions were calling for it. And yet, here we are coming on a year later.
I want symmetry. I want a Trump Option for HRC rather than the Unicorn Option she got. I want a Special Counsel for Hillary Clinton. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Right? Right?! I want the truth!
Oh … during all of this hullabaloo, here is the only thing Director Comey had to say:
And, in the face of mounting criticism aimed at the FBI, the documents revealed that Comey quoted poet Ralph Waldo Emerson by assuring his subordinates, “To be great is to be misunderstood.”
SRSLY?! I want Comey in jail. And Clapper. Brennan. Strzok. Rosenstein. McCabe …

Why Mr Trump did not vigorously chase these scum is beyond me.
And these are the exact same guys, or part of a larger group, who framed Trump. And that’s what it is a frame-up.
I think this is the biggest scandal in the history of the country.
So does Dan Bongino and Chuck Grassley. For the life of me, I have no idea why it is ignored.
And yet it can’t be called a “conspiracy”.
If those who perpetrated this scandal at every level are not held accountable then The United States is officially a banana republic/aristocracy/two tiered justice system.
The most disgusting abuse of power to date has been the MSM effectively ignoring the FBI/DOJ/IC malfeasance and playing up the Trump Russia collusion story when they have every reason to know a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to alter the result of the 2016 is now officially a crock.
Worse yet, the MSM barely mentions or glosses over anything about the HRC side. From taking Russian money for the Clinton Foundation, keeping a private server and devices, transmitting classified information on the private server, the Final Exam exoneration, the apparent set up of Carter Page and Papadopoulos , the Weiner laptop gloss over investigation/exoneration, accepting the DNC/HRC produced Steele Dossier into the DOJ/FBI as credible evidence without the proper due diligence to verify for probable cause to create a predicate for any investigation, then using the very same unverified Steele Dossier as evidence to get a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page, the Flynn unmasking, the Flynn FBI interview, the continued extensions of the Page FISA warrant, even the creation of the Mueller Special Counsel when those who demanded it’s creation knew all of the above, the leaking from the all levels of FBI/DOJ/IC, and the fact that essentially the entire top management of FBI/DOJ have been fired, quit or demoted …. I’m sure I missed one of the many satellite scandals orbiting around the core FBI/DOJ/IC scandal.
Yet you would know little if anything about the above if you get your news from the MSM. If you get all your news from the MSM you would be certain the Bad Orange Man will be going to prison any day now for colluding with the Russians to win the 2016 election. This level of journalistic malfeasance is a huge scandal.
I doubt the MSM will ever recover their credibility(what little credibility they had) when the curtain is finally pulled back for the public when Trump declassifies the relevant documents (ie: FISA, FBI 302’s, congressional testimony, etc.) after the Mueller report is completed …. which should explain Mueller’s lack of motivation to ever conclude the investigation.
The biggest mistake of Trump’s presidency was appointing Sessions as AG. Barr’s appointment is a day late and a dollar short. Because of this huge mistake we have an FBI and Justice Department determined to bring him down.
The Dems. and MSM have already convinced half the country that AOC’s GND FAQ never existed or is a GOP fabrication. Half the people want to believe it and they are the same half that don’t care about the rule of law.
Obama was our first president to not transfer power peacefully. Again, banana republic confirmed. I am most amazed that people in positions to know at the various departments accept this without complaint. I assume there are no patriots left anymore.
Put ‘em all in chains.
Both of the above good points are what scare me the most.
1. The fact that the media and the Deep State have succeeded in creating an alternate reality and
2. The first non-peaceful transfer of power. It has shaken me to my core. It’s so much more important than people seem to realize.
It is beyond discouraging. The whole notion of justice is to contain and deter private revenge. I see nothing good coming if enough people feel that justice was not done.
The country cannot move on regardless, because even a public and transparent investigation of Clinton would not be reported honestly by most major media. Like the hanging chads in Florida during the Gore/Bush election, Democrat sympathizers will perpetuate whatever lie empowers them.
Again, President Trump should end the Mueller circus himself, for the same reason. Regardless of truth and regardless of any actions, the Left will demonize their opponents and slander with impunity. Trump will be accused of collusion and election rigging however long he waits for a conclusion. Waiting means more lives destroyed by fishing for process crimes and reckless media speculation.
As will be any Republican successor of Trump who wins, whenever and forever. (Cf. Georgia gubernatorial election 2018.)
Don’t bet on it. The Dems will never let that happen. They, with the complicity of the MSM, will move heaven and earth to ensure the story has no legs. And will have already prepared more dirt on Trump to divert the public’s eyes from their own malfeasance. Doubtful the story will last more than 2-3 days.
It is amazing that at the state level (e.g. Illinois) the powerful are not above the law. But at the federal level….
It is strange in Illinois how some are allowed to keep doing what they do(ie: Madigan, Dick Daley), while others are randomly selected to pay the price for doing what they all do(ie: Ed Burke, everyone else ever convicted of bribery and influence peddling) .
Blagojevich makes sense because he had the temerity to take on the Big (D) Machine, which landed him 14 years in prison for “crimes” you can walk through the directory of IL-(D) pols past and present, and bust nearly all these guys for the very same and similar crimes.
I don’t like Blogojevich and certainly did not like his politics, but 14 years in prison is insane, and the fact the insanity of the length of sentence is not recognized by the media, other politicians, and the public at large is very strange as well.
