Somedays, There Is Just Not Enough Popcorn in the World

Popcorn, anyone?Donna Brazile is obviously trying to position herself as The Only Honest Wo(man) In Washington with this tell-all article in Politico which reveals just how unethical, immoral and quite possibly illegal the 2016 Clinton campaign really was.

“Officials from Hillary’s campaign had taken a look at the DNC’s books. Obama left the party $24 million in debt—$15 million in bank debt and more than $8 million owed to vendors after the 2012 campaign and had been paying that off very slowly. Obama’s campaign was not scheduled to pay it off until 2016. Hillary for America (the campaign) and the Hillary Victory Fund (its joint fundraising vehicle with the DNC) had taken care of 80 percent of the remaining debt in 2016, about $10 million, and had placed the party on an allowance.”

However, Donna’s chances of becoming the straight-talking, trustworthy soul who tells it like it is are somewhat hampered by the fact that she leaked town hall questions to Hillary when she was a “journalist” for ABC News.

Kinda hard to point your fingers at the unethical behavior of someone when you yourself were willing to cross ethical boundaries for that very same person, Donna.

In the meantime, pull up a chair, sprinkle on your favorite popcorn toppings, and let’s all bask in the warmth of the Democratic Party lighting itself on fire.

I didn’t have much time to listen to the radio today but picked up a few tidbits.  I think this is what I heard but can’t swear to it since I was dodging crazy drivers at the time:

    1.  Ken Starr thinks the investigation has shifted or added the Clinton campaign to the investigation.
    2. Donna B. knows the hammer might fall on Hillary and is trying to distance herself from the fallout.
    3. For all that we hear from the Dems about Trump, it is all smoke and no fire while Dems have had a bad week or two.  Uranium, Diversity visa, terrorist attack, Brazille book, Hollywood pedophilia, media philandering and abuse, idiot DNC leader who thought Electoral College isn’t in Constitution, rabid college students, etc.

What if the Mueller campaign only indicts Democrats?  What if Comey was settling scores with Hillary and not Trump by tricking DOJ into a special prosecutor?  After all, Clinton, DOJ, and Obama tied his hands and made him tolerate corruption.  He might be smarting over his reputation going under and is getting justice and revenge the only way he could.

I was just reading the message boards at Daily Kos. The Bernie Bros are pretty pissed. The Hillbots are all “Of course she took over the DNC and rigged the primaries months before the first contest. She would have been stupid not to. Of course she dug up Russia dirt on Trump and then blamed him for what she was guilty of. Who wouldn’t?”

I said it before the election, and I’m saying it again now:  Why on Earth would Bernie Bro’s show up on election day to vote for these people? They didn’t, and they won’t.

Another way of looking at this is that Donna Brazille  is trying to put as much distance between herself and the Clintons/ Obama et al as she possibly can.  Remember, Hillary was never supposed to lose, and the avalanche of scandal that we are now just beginning to see was in the eyes of the Democrats, and people like Mueller, Comey et al never ever  supposed to have a  chance of being revealed.

But now the fit is hitting the shan big time and  it appears if Jeff Session does one tenth of his job, many, many democrats and lots of bureaucrats in power and loyal to the Democrat cause at any price will be going to the Hoosegow. It makes a lot of sense for someone like Donna B to be singing like a bird ” it was’t me, it wasn’t me” to avoid the Clinton/Obama stench.   You probably will see more than a few like her  jumping ship as well, real soon.

The Democrats are so divided among different interest groups I don’t see how they can develop a cohesive national campaign.  That was an interesting article.  They’re clueless.

That’s exactly what she’s doing. The excerpts I’ve read from her book are hilarious. Every other sentence is “I had no idea” or “Nobody told me!” or “If only I had known,” and then for good measure she says she listens to gospel music at home. I can barely keep a straight face. Does she think we don’t remember her disgrace in the Dukakis campaign (he fired her)?

@exjon, myself and anyone else who lived in Arizona in 2008 saw this happen at the state level. Janet Napolitano cruised into reelection as a Democrat in a rather Republican state, but then left her party in shambles when she jumped ship for the Obama administration.  She had used the party mechanism to further her interests, not the interests of the party state-wide, and now we’re seeing that same thing play out on a national level.

Resolved: Barack Hussein Obama should be dunned for the debt he left for the party after leaving office. He should be followed around by a debt-collector wherever he goes, and should be reminded often about how much he cost his party.

    Discuss.

I don’t know. A Democrat party in deep debt is a party that’s much less powerful and effective. I’d say he did the GOP a big favor.

I also think he knows that, and the fact that Trump followed him into the White House will haunt him forever.

The assumption that Barack Obama gives a flying fig what happens to people other than himself is a YUUUUUUGE assumption.

There’s a reason he always kept his organization completely isolated from the DNC. It was always the O Party for him, not the Democratic Party.

I dunno, seems like the smart move if you know what kind of creatures lurk there.

The Dems are packed nice and cozy in their coastal urban districts. They’ll probably win the House popular vote and pick up a few seats, just as the current generic polls indicate. But they won’t win control. That’s the thing about polling; You can poll the whole nation much more accurately than you can poll a congressional district, but the vote happens neatly gerrymandered district by district. The Dem’s don’t have much money or a message. They’re just now learning to quit Hillary and quietly renounce Obama. They’re divided and demoralized. Has running on a platform of impeaching the president just because he’s mean ever worked? I’m gonna let my 2016 prediction points ride on holding the House and gaining seats in the Senate next year.

Smells to me like the Dems are (finally) trying to shake the Clintons so that a new power base can emerge. Brazile makes a useful messenger having been in a strategic position to gather facts and having already been sullied by supplying questions to Clinton in advance. Her timing is driven not by national or party interest, but by her book’s publication date.

Brazile has driven a stake into the chest of the undead, but only after the entire town has been corrupted. It is not entirely true that Dems have become too inured, I know Bernie-ites that have already left the party over previous indications that their candidate was opposed by the DNC in what should have been an open primary.

Goodness no. He’s gone and he left us a bankrupt Democratic party. We should send him flowers and a thank you note.

A bankrupt DNC ≠ A bankrupt Democratic Party.

As both the Obama and Hillary campaigns have illustrated, the DNC is a largely superfluous organization.

Democratic Party politcians can easily operate without the existence of a well-functioning DNC. In fact, the successful ones thrive by ensuring that the DNC is never allowed to function competently.

There’s a word for a Democratic Party politician who puts the DNC above their own ambitions. That word is “loser”.

I laugh at any suggestion that Brazille’s revelation will result in any sort of meaningful change.  It’ll be forgotten in a week.  Too many people depend on Clinton money to kick ’em off the throne.

Yabbut, not because of Brazille.  At most, Brazille’s book is a result of a Clinton dethronement rather than a cause.

Seems to me the purpose of the DNC is to launder money in a way to avoid election law restrictions.
