Here’s to Future Days

Now for something completely different. Young Phoenix Legg started his “career” reporting on American politics during the presidential debates of 2016. He’s covered rallies, protests, and conventions, doggedly chasing down interviews and showing more maturity and integrity per pound than any reporter on the network news. We were so impressed that we set aside time to get his story where he shares his thoughts on the current state of political media. Phoenix has a blog worth checking out where he takes on social justice warriors, protesters, and “ignorant folks who say hateful things.” Bravo to Phoenix and his Father Matt.

Dave, this kid is adorable!! Oh, I mean impressive and smart. Oh gosh, he’s all of it. I had to keep reminding myself he was only nine. So cute!

Wow! My cowboy boots are older than that kid. He’s a lot more impressive than I was at that age. Okay at any age. (Hate to tell ya, MSM, but a 9-year-old sees through you) Thanks, Dave

This young man was very impressive – if you watch some of his videos at his website, you ‘ll see he’s a teneacious little tiger; not afraid of getting right into a crowd of reporters (who can be rough and obnoxious) and getting his interview.  He also interviews people you wouldn’t expect, like mangy looking Trump protestors.  Notably, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Phoenix is a self-motivated homeschooler.  His Dad is the quiet cameraman who doesn’t interfere unless Phoenix might be in danger.  Meeting both of them was a delight.

He is adorable. I watched his clips from the Women’s March at http://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.com/ and was amazed how condescending, mean and rude so many folks were that he tried to  interview. I guess his suit and tie freaked them out.

In his blog on IWD, he talked to another child who pointed out specifically how Trump removed the power of Democracy by writing executive orders.

Ironic, but I guess the kid’s parents didn’t talk about Obama’s executive orders.
