Flyover 48 – Arahant and the Trump-men
Ricochet member Arahant joins us this week for a summary of presidential politics, as we further discuss the Trump phenomenon and the current state of conservatism. We also talk about science fiction, poetry, art… even film?
Opening sequence includes music from Ronald Jenkees. Closing music is from a sci-fi outer spacey type movie.

I can relate to that. I think my enthusiasm for Ricochet sometimes puts me in the dork category.
Cba and Max,
These insults pale in comparison to the mean things that Arahant said to me “off the air”. I tried to play it off, but my pillow was a little moist when I finally managed unconsciousness.
However, if you really want to skirt the CoC, you need only look as far as our collective mature braniacs over at Twitch.tv (I’d be shocked if anyone on this site other than me even knows what this is). There is a very popular streamer there with the handle of Trump. There are also many people that don’t like him and express it very simply using the phrase: Tuck Frump.
I also saw a Buck Ofama bumper sticker in a parking lot the other day.
also … I realized only in retrospect that Arahant’s criticisms would also apply to one very-well-loved Mr. Jonah Goldberg. So, you’re in decent company.
Quite true. He has a very annoying giggle. Coming from someone like him, it’s almost funny. It sounds nearly electronic, like “Tickle Me Elmo” or something.
Laugh Supremacist! Not all of us can have a magnificent evil cackle.
I admit that it has taken me years of practice to get that laugh as good as it is today, but I think with a few pointers, anyone can have a better laugh. (I have lots of other laughs, too, by the way, and only three are evil: mad scientist, dirty snicker, and witch’s cackle.)
Many people have changed not only their laughs, but their voices over time. If one works at it, it becomes natural.
I very much enjoy Jonah’s giggle. Of all present and former Ricochet podcasters, Mollie Hemingway’s is the most charming. If I were a lonely bachelor, I might fall in love with her just from listening to her laugh.
Hillary Clinton could use your help. Every time she issues an honest laugh I can’t help thinking this woman lives for revenge.
If she offers enough, I would work with her, but we’re talking a lot of money.
