Investigators, State Department Release New Hillary Emails

Hillary-Clinton-angry3Reach deep into the darkest recesses of your memories — way back in the distant past of August 8. A film called Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation was in the theaters, there was a war going on in Syria, and Donald Trump was making rude comments about reporters and Republicans.

Back in that sepia-toned era, Hillary Clinton issued a sworn declaration that she had turned over all her work-related emails to the State Department. Yes, she might have wiped her server free of Groupons from Chipotle and Bikram Yoga, but under threat of perjury she promised to have been completely forthcoming in her official communications.

Yeah, about that:

State Department officials have received new official emails sent to and from Hillary Clinton that the former secretary of state never released.

The email exchange involves a 2009 conversation with Gen. David Petraeus, who was then head of U.S. Central Command, according to a report Friday by the Associated Press.

The conversation began before Clinton became secretary of state, but continued into the beginning of her tenure. The State Department has already admitted, thanks to documents released through the Freedom of Information Act, that it does not have emails from the first weeks of her tenure…

A State official declined to comment on how the Pentagon obtained the document.

I bet the Obama administration is glad they don’t have a duplicitous executive like Hillary Clinton besmirching the fine name of the US State Department anymore. Now that she’s been gone for several years, the agency can get back to the ethical and transparent professionalism that is its trademark.

Oh, bother:

The State Department has said over and over again that it turned over all of Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi-related emails to the committee investigating the 2012 attack.

Turns out, that wasn’t quite the case. Foggy Bottom mistakenly failed to produce a “small number” of those emails, a senior State Department official told The Daily Beast.

“Following our second review of former Secretary Clinton’s emails… the Department is producing a small number of emails relating to Benghazi,” the official said. The official could not say precisely how many Benghazi-related Clinton emails the State Department missed in its original review, but characterized it as a “handful.”

The good news: it’s only a “handful” of emails.

The bad news: State defines a “handful” as 925 emails.

I know that she’s an ex-Senator, former First Lady, and the expected Democratic candidate. But isn’t it about time she was charged with perjury — at the very least?

Chris Campion:The 1% sure do live a lot better than we do. Millionaires for whom the law does not apply.

Here’s where I’m routinely gobsmacked: Hillary actively chose to hide her emails while Secretary of State. It wasn’t an accident, she wasn’t unaware – she actively chose to do this.

This isn’t someone you want holding the reins of power. This isn’t someone you want running a business. This isn’t someone you can trust. At all. She pre-emptively hid her emails.

Crapweasel for President. What a wonderful world we’ve created for ourselves here.

    Chris,

Isn’t there really only one plausible explanation for preemptively hiding her emails.

    CLINTON CASH

If you are engaged in a huge scam to extort billions of dollars and funnel it all into your own personal fraudulent charity then you want to make sure nobody is looking over your shoulder. Nobody in our government that is.

I don’t think that the Clinton’s are an exception other than the fact that they seem to do it bigger than others.  I don’t believe that this is illegal, as it is a certainty that a portion of the money coming in actually goes out to someone, maybe someone who actually needs that kind of support.

Will Hillary be discovered to have used her positions in government to have aided other countries, including those who hold us in contempt?  Given that the Clintons hold a lot of people in contempt it would come as no surprise to me personally that they act consistently on both sides of this fence.

Remarkably the MSM tells us that Democrats don’t necessarily hold this against the Clintons.  Some people get a pass and others do not.  It depends on who you think is buttering your bread, or so it seems.

We’ve tended to idolize people such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.  Maybe that aura is being extended to the criminals of politics.  Yet I would never trust my daughter to either of them.  I love her and they are untrustworthy.  If I cannot trust them with my daughter, what can I trust them with?

Anyone else read these quotes about Hillary going in and telling Obama to “call off his f’ing dogs”?  lol   She is freaking losing it.  I don’t think she will go to jail but it will be fun to see her dreams of the presidency go down the toilet.

    DT,

Extortion is illegal. Selling government influence is illegal. The massive ratio of overhead to real charity funding 94% to 6% makes the charity fraudulent as far as the IRS goes. If you are conducting a private consulting/lobbying firm (it would be illegal for the Secretary of State to do so) then it is for profit and the IRS gets its share. Their behavior is massively illegal in many different ways at once.

This is the master crime for which the server was preemptively hidden. Benghazi is the trip up. You know in those old master criminal tales the master mind has everything perfectly worked out. Then one little thing goes wrong (Benghazi) and it all starts to unravel from there.

I am not disagreeing with you.  I don’t know IF Hillary (and Bill?) will get away with it.  Even if Barry doesn’t like them, it may behoove him to move up the push for a trial and then give Hillary a presidential pardon rather than have her put in the stand and force her to testify.

Pardon or not, hopefully that will end the Clintons.

Nice that you couldn’t make this post without slamming Trump. I for one welcome him. Not only that, he’s opened my eyes to many on Ricochet. Gotta feeling I’m in the wrong place.

    Stan,
You’re in the wrong place because some Richocetti dislike Trump or because some like him?  It would be difficult to find a group of all one mind short of a candidate’s own campaign team.

Come on, Stan.  I’m a Trumpkin and I don’t see that little swipe as out of line.  Long story short — there are plenty of thoroughly unpleasant people on Ricochet, but Jon Gabriel is not one of them.  He’ssss given some good kicking to the GOP Establishemnt, and in as many words.  Hopefully that context helps you not regret plunking down for a Thatcher membership.

But if you’re leaving can I have the mug?

This is just another step in the plan that started with the 2008 election.  President Selfiestick is getting closer to removing the last obstacle to his goal of being remembered as the greatest of all time.  He is using a version of Chinese water torture (drip drip drip) on Cankles McPantsuit and Bubba.  Bubba should have cut the chord with her instead of being goaded into defending her last week.  Now they will go down together just as BO has planned.
