Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
The New and Improved Ricochet Store
Every now and again when I post a piece of artwork people tell me that they’d love to have it on a t-shirt or a mug and I have to respectfully decline because of copyright issues. Now, however, I am pleased to announce that we’re introducing a new line of goods in our online store with a (hopefully) fresh and (hopefully) good humored take on the Ricochet way of life.
Here’s a look (below the fold) and if you don’t see something you’re interested in just let me know.
New Shirt Designs
- Never be ashamed again if someone doubts that you have “Skin in the Game.”
- Of course conservatism is cool and nobody’s cooler than our muse, Silent Cal. Be Cool with Coolidge!
- When the legal arguments are over make your announcement, “The Faculty Lounge is Closed.”
These two other new designs are also now available:
It all started with the Flagship Podcast and this nifty design allows you to declare your allegiance to the Founder/Contributor of your choice. Please note that I believe it is possible to order the Midwest Division design on a yellow muscle shirt.* And, no, the West Coast version does not come with a blue sweater to wrap around your shoulders.
And for those of you that pine for the good old days of Ricochet 1.0 (and you all know who you are) we bring you Ricochet Classic complete with serifs and tilted “o.”
Besides the traditional standard logo coffee mugs, we wanted to let you know that we know what’s important to you in the wee earlies of the morning – your updated conversations and The Ricochet Daily Shot.
Sorry, Fred Cole. I know this means you have to get out your credit card. But how can you live without it?!?
And finally, we can’t forget about the kids. We brag about them when they’re born and everyone of them is special, talented, and has mom’s looks and dad’s brains.
More importantly they’re all being raised right. Or at least right-of-center. And for those of you who have shared your newborn announcements with us there’s the dream of a lifetime achieved at an early age.
We’ll try to keep you up to date as new designs are added. There’s a Twitter feed @RicochetStore.
Look around the Zazzle site. There are plenty of products to which you can have your favorite Ricochet design added. It’s all on-demand technology. Just tell me what you want.
*No. Yellow is not an option.

If elected, to quote Bill Buckley when he ran for mayor of New York, my first action would be to “demand a recount.”
Yabbut, I don’t like hockey. How about one about how real fooball players only need three downs?
;-)
You’re lucky Canada eliminated the death penalty…
LOVE it, EJH! Fabulous! And you have saluted the national sport, ice hockey! Genius!
Zazzle has a bunch of customizable Christmas ornaments. I could picture a lot of members buying a Ricochet ornament for their tree, if the design were nice.
The national winter sport.
Lacrosse is the national summer sport.
By act of Parliament, since 1994.
This is not a Photoshop. Unfortunately, it is in North Carolina, so it won’t have much effect. On the other hand, folks in this neck of the woods might vote favorably if they thought this Peter Robinson fellow was a large, hairy gay man.
Thanks for furthering my education, Mis! :) I guess I have lived among too many ice hockey fans. In fact, I don’t know anyone who either plays or watches lacrosse. Have you?
Only lacrosse fan I know is Archer.
So funny, Mis! I have seen people running around with those strange-looking sticks with the little baskets at the end. Now that I think of it, I’ve never seen a game played. I wonder how popular it is? And where in Canada?
It’s not popular. It’s merely official.
I looked it up on Wikipedia and immediately could see why it is official. Another case of political correctness.
Lacrosse, in my mind, was associated with Ireland. Here is an account of the history and progress of the game in Ireland and the UK. I also associated it with girls schools, which I see Queen Victoria inspired.
Lacross is HUGE on the east coast of the United States, especially from Maryland to North Carolina.
Besides, Mis, were you expecting a mug like this?
It’s a little wordy, but I like the direction in which you head!
