    Dear Ricochet members,

I hope everyone who commented on my piece will see this, because you deserve to.
THANK YOU. I hope you get what an awesome group of people you are, and how the past day has restored my faith in humanity. I have gotten the most heartwarming messages (btw, someone needs to create an alert for when there is a message in the inbox so one does not miss the joy of reading it) and these comments…wow. Brains, guts and heart; that should be the Ricochet slogan. Because that’s what I find here. Brains, guts and heart.

Thank you, everyone. The rage and sorrow of my piece has turned into, if so only for a moment, faith and whatever that mushy stuff is that makes me act all schmaltzy.

    G-d bless all of you.

    Annika

Annika Hernroth-Rothstein:  I did consider London, but after reading the latest reports I fear it may be a lateral move…

I left London. If it is a forward pass, it is only for very short yardage.

But when you’re on fourth down and inches, short yardage for another first down is all you need.

Annika, there isn’t a one of us here that doesn’t wish we could just lean over the pond, scoop up you and your boys, and hug you close. Then set you down at your area of choice. I passed your letter to many people, mostly Jews who still have their head in the sand, and posted it to my facebook page. I have connections to many patriotic groups here and in England. I have a Jewish friend in Troys, France that could keep you and your boys in an emergency. If you do hit London on your way, do not get into a taxi that you didn’t arrange for. Also, you and your boys would be welcome in NW Montana. There are people in England who would also take you in and help you on your journey.

I did suggest that it would be a mere staging area on the way. If an emergency impels a departure from Sweden, the odds are that Israel will not be in a peaceful moment (antisemitic violence in Europe tends to correlate with violence against Israel). I don’t think we’ve had a death to anti-semitism in a while, and the odds against even a mild hate crime are extremely low if you’re sticking to the more pleasant areas, which shouldn’t be much of a burden if the stay is short.

Do you mean minicabs? I’d have thought black cabs were pretty safe (albeit more expensive). Black cab driving remains one of London’s most Semitic careers, demographically.

James, it’s been a long time since I was in England, but I always used a black cab and all the drivers were English. I would call for a pick up to take me to the train stations, etc. But I’ve read several articles recently that women and girls are not safe just getting into a cab looking for passengers on the street, as most of them are “Asian” drivers, meaning muslims. If you call for a cab, then there is a record of it with the company.
