    Edward Smith:

I don’t think the Democratic establishment will turn on Sarah Palin the way the Republican establishment did. They have already begun writing Wendy Davis off, and she has reacted angrily to this.

It is quite possible that Wendy Davis will meet a lot of polite indifference from the Democratic Party, as someone who showed very early on that she just did not have what it took to be the star she wanted to be.

I mean, look at Sandra Fluke. If you can find her that is. She seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth.

Do I have to look at Sandra Fluke?

Only if you fail to lead a good life and go to that other place after you die. Then?  Forever.

I like how I’ve spent five years and tens of thousands of words defending Palin against horrible treatment in the media. But my legit and quite balanced criticism of her waterboarding as baptism comments have yielded unbelievable vitriol from her defenders.

    Fun week. Sigh.

All undone while you got your VERY important point across…what was it again?

My very important point, which you mock, is that Christian baptism is not a joke.

It’s not a punchline. It’s the very means by which we are saved from sin, death and damnation.

I’m aware that some people think some politicians are more important than the means of grace. But I certainly don’t share that view. Neither do I recoil in horror at any politician. Which is why I wrote a balanced and thoughtful defense of baptism against the waterboarding comments.

Any equivalency is purely superficial.  Palin is a woman of character whereas Davis is a rank opportunist devoid of character as demonstrated in her actions leading up to her current campaign and how she has run her campaign for governor of Texas. Davis could tell me water is wet and I still wouldn’t believe her.

    p.s. Palin is hotter too.

Dudley: p.s. Palin is hotter too.

She seems much more genuine, which is “hotter” than a fake.  That reminds me of an old joke that probably doesn’t fit the CoC.
