The take-home line from Dreher is, “I don’t understand not at least making a heroic effort [to stay in the marriage].” Marriages are models for our kids’ future lives. If, in the end, you fail at modeling till-death-do-us-part, at least you damn well better succeed at modeling a heroic effort for same.
