Chuck Shumer: Knesset Majority Leader

A New York Rabbi is said to have commented on Goldwater’s acceptance of the Republican nomination for President in 1964 that he always knew that the first Jewish Republican nominee for the Presidency would be an Episcopalian.

If that Rabbi were with us today, he might now observe that he always knew that the first Jewish Democrat Senate Majority leader would be an anti-Semite.

These days being anti-Semitic is de rigeur among mainstream Democrats. Shumer of course made his immediately infamous speech with the full concordance of the Biden administration. Which administration just authorized the release of more funds, to the tune of about $10 billion, to Iran, an existential threat to Israel, and a funder of proxy terrorist fighters agains Israel (and the US and the West) all over the Middle East.

People will say that Biden is just pursuing his version of a two-state solution, namely trying to hold Michigan and Minnesota in the 2024 election. But that is specious. Democrats have been anti-Semitic since Obama became President, if not before. The whole idea of the JCPOA was to grease the skids to an Iranian atomic weapon with which to assault Israel. And to that end, Obama released some $150 billion dollars to Iran, gave them pallets of cash in exchange for prisoners in the most one-sided such deal in history; was assiduous in avoiding any encouragement to the Iranians who attempted to rise up against the Mullahs, who paid with their lives. With Valerie Jarrett as his Zvengali, Obama was more pro-Iranian Mullahs than any leader in the world. He did a poor job of attempting to bamboozle the American public into ignoring his pro-Iranian proclivities, although that poor job was successful enough, given the general low state of awareness of the American  electorate.

And they endlessly repeat their goal for a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, which is naught but a call for the destruction of Israel.

Progressives (aka Democrats) are hounding, harassing, and threatening Jewish students on campuses and staging mass demonstrations calling for the destruction of Israel (even if they don’t understand what their chants mean). And the universities are dead set in their anti-Semitism.  Anti-Semitism, at the sponsorship of the Democrat party, is rampant in America.

The only thing that calling for elections in Israel could possibly do would be to divide a now unified nation and help defeat Israel in its existential war against Hamas. Hamas should be exterminated as ISIL was exterminated (by Trump/Mattis, after Obama created the vacuum that allowed the creation of, and armed, ISIL). Nothing could be more harmful to the nation of Israel at this moment. So of course that is what Shumer, and Biden, and the Democrat party want. A vassal state that when Chuckie says, “Jump!” Israel says, “How high?” Or no State of Israel at all. So Biden issues barely-veiled threats if Israel does other than he insists, and spouts unending calumnies about what Israel is doing or not doing.

Joe Biden has the same goal as Hamas, namely, the survival of Hamas. To again threaten Israel and continue killing Jews.

How long, oh Lord, will be the trouble of Jacob? Deliver her from her enemies. Here and abroad.

The Democrat party was not always anti-Semitic. Harry Truman was the first world leader to recognize the State of Israel in 1948, despite the strident opposition of his advisers such as George Marshall. It is reported that when Truman held a reception for the envoys of the State of Israel that, much to the chagrin of his advisers, he was hailed as a modern day Cyrus. Truman is said to have wept at that encomium. He indeed gave immediate world legitimacy to the State of Israel, and he did so at the earliest moment he could.

God bless Israel. And God forgive the United States of America.

Democrats believe their alleged Russian election interference in America is an existential threat and beyond the pale.

Democrats believe that American election interference in Israel is an absolute necessity.

In a 2016 interview, Obama offered commentary on the intractable tribalism of the Middle East, saying that Saudi Arabia needs to “share” the Mid East with Iran.    He envisioned a bi-polar region counterbalanced by the Saudis and the Iranians and he tilted  US policy toward Iran to achieve that end.

With Valerie Jarrett as his Zvengali he could not do otherwise.

Valerie Jarrett will be remembered for her service as one of her country’s great  patriots.  The problem is that the United States is not that country.

I don’t know if Chuck Schummer is the type to worry about his legacy or just lives in the moment in his pursuit of power.

I’m inclined to think, especially since he’s older, that he does worry about his legacy.

Despite his previous support for Israel, I think he’ll be remembered for this speech, more than anything else he has done.

Most important politicians, especially those that don’t become president, and often those that do, are remembered as footnotes, with maybe one sentence attributed to them.

For Schumer, that one sentence will refer to that speech.

I have never seen Chuck go more than a sentence or two without spouting some provable lie. I think his legacy was baked a while ago. But NY keeps sending him back as if he’s some wise sage. Netanyahu needs to call for a new election in NY. The man is just a treacherous weasel.

Interesting that at this point in his career he’s worried about what Joe thinks or wants or hints at. He could’ve at least stood up at the end.
