Nancy Mace Rightly Flamesprays DoD Money Club

No, she doesn’t go on an internet tirade, but she does something smart here (I’ll say more in the comments; tell me when you catch it), and then lets them have it.

I dropped out of high school well before she did, so I got that going for me.

When I see that, I personally feel good about my time as a civil servant. Although the millions of dollars saved in accomplishing the operations under my direction while I was there, I had no role in redirecting those funds to other purposes,  although I saw it. That is part of what influenced the formation of my views that the system for sustaining the federal government was not working in the interests of the people.

The last twenty years have been clarifying with the Trump era providing true enlightenment.

Objection, assumes facts not in evidence.

    Objection, compound question.

    They don’t care.

    They have never cared.

And the GOP will not restore normal budget order. This is all for show.

    I am not impressed.

The hubris and arrogance of these people when confronted by legitimate, detailed, hard-hitting questions backed up by apparently solid research, about why they allowed almost ONE BILLION DOLLARS to be unaccounted for is nothing short of breathtaking. I thought the Congresswoman did a superior job in her questioning and especially liked the way she started with just a few words letting these non-entities know that she was not going to stand for any of their usual b[         ]t and obfuscation but that she wanted answers — not that it did any good with any of these incompetents. It is hard to imagine any business in the private sector allowing employees to sit there and claim that no one really knows what happened to ONE BILLION DOLLARS of the company’s money– they would be gone in a New York minute or else the shareholders would be filing very well founded lawsuits demanding answers, not filibusters. The photo above perfectly describes the question anyone should have after watching this pathetic performance.

Ugh, “Incompetency” is not a word Congresslady. I think you meant “Incompetence.”

This is what the “Senior Executive Service” in the Federal Government was supposed to solve: “…ensure that the executive management of the Government of the United States is responsive to the needs, policies, and goals of the Nation and otherwise is of the highest quality.”  They were supposed to be accountable. Didn’t happen.

I don’t understand why the Repubs vote for all this DoD money that gets wasted, and the Dems couldn’t care less about the waste unless there’s an opposing party in charge of the Executive Branch.

She wasn’t looking for answers –she’s not stupid and knew that there would be no answers forthcoming.  So she quickly got them all on the record with no answers (except the first guy, who politely and precisely answered “no”), and then took issue with the fact that agencies send people who always have a story for why there are no answers, and called that “[bovine manure].”

If Republicans gain a majority large enough to count on subpoena powers (right now the margin of RINO kills any hope of that), this moment will be handy to have in the back pocket.

I believe the Congresswoman only has five minutes for her questions and the resulting answers. When a simple yes or no question is answered with a five minute non-answer, then she loses her floor time and can’t ask the remainder of her questions.

    Filibuster is a good descriptor.

You honestly think they will do anything with it?

Again, the GOP has had full control and not returned to regular order.

No, that was her time, not theirs.  She can’t filibuster them.  Witnesses are directed to answer the questions.  That’s all.

Well, to be fair, she did openly admit that she dropped out of high school in 1995.

Don’t get me wrong. I loved her answer and the butt -chewing she dished out.
