In Praise of Strong Women

The pretty little lady pictured on the right is the new Alberta women’s bench press record holder for the 84KG+ weight class and I hope we see more women like her setting records in the future. Granted, she is not the most feminine lady out there, but it took a lot of balls to do what she did.

The new women’s champ is Avi Silverberg. Before and after the competition (but not during), Avi identified as a man because . . . he is a man. However, recently the Canadian Powerlifting Union declared that whether you compete in the men’s or women’s division was a matter of self-identification. Soon after that, trans lifter Anne Andres became the bench press record holder. (Click here for a video of Andres complaining that women stink at bench, not because they have less upper body mass than men, but because they don’t try hard enough.)

Anyway, Mr. Silverberg did not like the fact that Andres knocked an actual woman out of the record book. As a form of protest against the “self-identify” policy, he decided to break the ladies’ record for himself. He did not seem to struggle at all while breaking the record.

I really like this story. It is a story of one woman topping the record of another woman without either of them being women. It makes no sense, but that’s the point. If common sense doesn’t work, perhaps ridicule will. Play by their rules and see what happens. It’s worth a shot.

The loopy logic of the pronouns is impossible to follow.

It’s a lot like trying to follow Abbott & Costello’s Who’s On First routine.

Is it a good thing that it’s not just the US that has gone mad?

The quick cancellation of Police Squad! (only 6 episodes) was criminal.  I don’t know whether that was an indictment of the industry, the TV-viewing audience, or both.

But just think, before too long the entire episode time would have been taken up by naming the people who were at Statesville Prison.

I spent many hours with a paranoid schizophrenic friend, and she was not as crazy as the trans people and those “treating” them.

The loopy logic of the pronouns is impossible to follow.

I cannot figure out what the trans people are looking for in life. Is it social acceptance? Is that what they hope to gain by using the opposite sex’s restrooms and locker rooms and by joining the other sex’s sports teams?

I just do not understand any of this.

Some of the behaviors suggests that there was molestation in childhood. Something like incest perhaps.

That Dylan Mulvaney character, the TikTok superstar,  who is all glammed up and has coached himself to have more feminine wiles than a real female would exhibit – he/she owns  that sort of “adult captured in a child’s body and mind” behavior.

Of course Dylan would not be a social influencer if everyone had simply ignored the poor dear.

Now he is so popular that it is hard to escape him on TikTok, FB or twitter, as someone is always sharing his bilge.

Easy solution, at least it works for me:  don’t be on TikTok, FB, or Twitter.

There’s one part of this that isn’t getting nearly enough attention: autogynephilia.  That’s men sexually stimulated by acting the part, wearing the clothes, or gaining access to female-exclusive situations.   Any man who has not fully transitioned, ie. had full “bottom” surgery, should be suspected for such and barred from using any women’s facilities.  That would be rest rooms, changing rooms, locker rooms, class rooms, single-sex swimming (often done for religiously observant Muslims and Jews and women who just prefer not to be so close to unclothed in the presence of men).

    I don’t give a galloping fratz.

Edit: that is, about the distinction.  Yes, they should all piss in the pisser, not the potty.

I’m not sure I made my point clearly.  The autogynephilics are perverts who get off on invading women’s spaces.  That’s an arguable huge difference from the potentially psychologically suffering gender dysphorics.  In the first case, it’s a kink and certainly doesn’t deserve pandering, particularly as it victimizes innocent women.  In the latter, intense psychological treatment should be the very first (and second, and third) approach.  For the extremely tiny number who go through years of psych treatment and then go the whole route and have surgery, let them use the women’s facilities.  There’s also a huge number of hysterical teenaged girls (and boys) who are going through a hard time with puberty and adult sex roles (whatever the hell those are now–now wonder they’re confused!) and are either attention-seeking, struggling with body image issues, are “on the spectrum,” etc.  Those should be under psychological care just like anorexics, bulimics, and the like.  I’m curious if the numbers for those are going down as the gender dysphoric numbers rise…

Caryn, I understood your point. I just disagree about the distinction.

I simply do not care, and I revoke what tolerance I once granted.

They can all burn in Hell or Detroit for all I care, and meanwhile, use the men’s room.

    Done. With. This.
