Hurtling Toward Bizarro World

One gets the sense we’re all passengers on a rocket speeding toward Bizarro World. Can we change course before the strange planet’s gravitational pull, like that of a black hole, makes escape impossible?

I refer you to my latest contribution over at The Pipeline, in which I address the plight of Los Angeles County deputy district attorney Shea Sanna, who finds himself in hot water with his boss, “progressive” prosecutor George Gascón. It seems that Sanna, in referring to convicted child molester and accused murderer James Tubbs, failed to acknowledge that Tubbs had adopted a new name, Hannah, to correspond with his newly chosen sex.

In the course of prosecuting Tubbs for the 2014 molestation of a 10-year-old girl, Sanna listened to jail telephone call recordings in which Tubbs discussed his new identity. Sanna believed Tubbs was claiming to be transexual in order to receive more lenient treatment in jail, a strategy that, against all common sense, proved successful.

From my Pipeline piece:

Tubbs was gaming the system, Sanna told his bosses, in an effort to receive more lenient treatment. In the twisted, non-Euclidian moral universe that is the L.A. County District Attorney’s office, he succeeded. And not only did Tubbs profit from his manipulations, Sanna is now being punished for, while bringing those manipulations to the attention of his superiors, being insufficiently deferential to Tubbs’s claim of having magically transmuted into a woman. Yes, it’s Bizarro World.

I ask my fellow members of the Ricochet community, can this rocket be turned around, or are we simply waiting helplessly as we’re smashed under the crushing gravity of Bizarro World?

How dare you! Even though this all might be true, it might lead to more Transphobia and so should not be said! Everyone, cover your ears, “Nah, Nah, Nah…”

I just shake my head in disbelief. This prosecutor is not a teenager. He is a grown man. What is the virus that is eating this man’s brain? I thought that most of the sane prosecutors had already resigned in Los Angeles. What is Sanna still doing there ( I was thinking)? Then I read again and Sanna was the Deputy DA. Wow.

My guess is that the majority of people at Ricochet agree that this criminal should be called “Hannah.”  As I recall, Ben Shapiro agrees with this, too.  It’s rude not to do so, they claim.

So sadly, this is not just a bunch of Wokeist nut-jobs.  It’s many people who think of themselves as conservative, though they’re actually libertarians or have their thinking infected by libertarianism.

I suspect most Ricochetti would think the person should be referred to as James Tubbs.   They might refer to him as Hannah,   but that would only be to avoid being fired & rendered unemployable.    People will put up with a lot to feed their families.

Let’s see how many times Soros’ name comes up in future elections for D.A.

Oh good grief, criminals go by aliases all the time.  See any WANTED poster.

And “deadname” and “misgender” (Pipeline and Fox articles) aren’t even actual words.

Did Tubbs officially change his name and sex?  I doubt it.

I’m going to take a wild guess about what’s actually happening here…

George Gascon is heavily funded by George Soros, and other sources, who are in an asymmetrical war with the US.  (See my post Asymmetrical Warfare (for Fun and Profit).)  And Gascon’s mission is to break down Los Angeles by letting criminals off.  And he does it gradually, moving the Overton Window, and by letting them game the system.  Shea Sanna spoke up about Tubbs gaming the system, and got canned for that reason.

Sanna has two options that I can see.   One is finding a new job in a non-Soros-funded DA office.  The other is to adopt a new gender and demanding Gascon be fired for misgendering zer.

I have the wonderful position of being retired and, therefore, completely safe from any economic retaliation for my views of this insanity. I spent more than 40 years having to watch my tongue, and even my thoughts. It strikes me that the left has gone completely bonkers, assuming that they are now in total control and have the ability to push whatever stupidity they want to push. I suspect that there is a reset due. You can only push people so far before they push back, and we are already seeing signs of the pushback.

I am not overly fond of Donald Trump, but it strikes me that his popularity is largely due this situation. Ron DeSantis is also popular for the same reason. Ultimately, as I have read, you have not converted a man because you have silenced him. There are a very large number of very quiet, angry people. If they are given someone electable to vote for, they will make that person President of the United States.

It’s one thing to address someone by their his chosen name, it’s quite another to share someone’s delusion that he is a woman, and to expect the court and other government entities to do so.

Criminals know more about the law than you might think. Some of them become quite adept at gaming the system. Law enforcement is more than just police officers. The DA’s office has to do their job. Defense attorneys advocate for their clients. District Attorneys should be advocates for crime victims and the safety of citizens that have not yet met someone like “Hannah”.

Criminals in Los Angeles County understand and know they can game Gascon. I don’t know if Gascon is just confused about his role, or if he really believes that criminals are victims. I do know that he’s making Los Angeles County a dangerous place for those that obey laws.

I see it as a “package” deal, defensively, but I agree with the letter of what you said.
