Group Writing: The Prison of Madness

When darkness snuffs out the light
and children are abused with abandon
and people are told they must suffer
with no hope for salvation

When they condemn those who live in peace
and demand they must give up hope
for the future
for the benefit of the whole

When madness is the only reality
inexplicable
painful
and never-ending

It is time to stop

reach out
comfort those around us
and demand clarity

It is time to wage war
to demand virtue
to call for unity

We. Will. Fight. Back.
