Justice Clarence and Ginni Thomas: Modern Day Heroes

If anyone doubts whether we still have hateful racists in this country, we only need to listen to the words and study the actions of the political Left. Everything they demand of Americans in terms of equality, everything they purport to condemn such as racism, every idea that they celebrate about fairness and equity has been negated by their own lies and contradictions.

Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife of 35 years, Ginni Thomas, are the epitome of opportunity and pursuit of freedom in the United States of America, and if the political Left were not determined to misrepresent the Left’s political goals for this country, the Thomas’ would be their celebrated couple.

But the Left is blind to its own fabrications and inconsistencies.

And they hate Justice Thomas and his wife.

This admirable couple has especially been under fire during the past year. Although every effort was made to show that they were unduly influencing each other, their activities were independent and ethical. Yet Ginni Thomas was accused of colluding with Donald Trump’s activities on January 6, and the January 6 Committee asked her to voluntarily appear before them. At first, she showed a willingness, but when her attorney, Mark Paoletta investigated further, he stated, “I do not believe there is currently a sufficient basis to speak with Mrs. Thomas.”

A firm but clear statement that Ms. Thomas was not going to be pushed, and that the illegitimate committee would have to justify its actions. One, Mrs. Thomas, zero, the Committee.

After the Roe v. Wade ruling was made, the knives came out for Justice Thomas. Even though he didn’t write the ruling, vile and racist language was used to attack him on Twitter (where several of the statements still appear):

“Clarence Thomas is a dirty porch monkey and as a trans woman I’m giving every one permission to use the n word on him.”

“Clarence Thomas really wants to own slaves and to be able to call Black people
N*****. In front of white people. And laugh. Coon ass motherf*****.”

“Clarence Thomas: just another dumb field N*****.”

“Doesn’t the N***** realize his rights are next?”

“Clarence Thomas is still a n***** slave to his white “nutcase” wife Ginni Thomas and the Supreme Court is an f****** mess. I can’t say it any other way; but it’s the truth no matter what you think.”

I suspect these comments came from white liberals, the very people who accuse the country of being systemically racist.

The radical Left is not called out nearly enough for their duplicity and attacks against Conservative black people. They’ve been very clear that only Blacks who closely follow the Progressive agenda will be accepted; anyone who steps outside that lane will be condemned and repeatedly attacked. In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Mark Paoletta offered the following comment:

The left is racist, Tucker. They expect Clarence Thomas to think the way a Black man should, based on the color of his skin. And Clarence Thomas for 30-40 years has refused to do that, and they want to destroy him. And that is what they’ve been doing in coming after him and the bottom line is, Clarence Thomas doesn’t care at all what they think.

At least the Left is consistent: they make no secret about their power-hungry motives and their demands for compliance with their goals. As of yesterday, nearly a million people have signed a petition to remove or impeach Justice Thomas.

My favorite ironic comment, though, came from Hillary Clinton, when she was recently interviewed for her perspective on Justice Thomas:

‘I went to law school with him,’ said Clinton, a 1973 graduate of Yale Law School. (Thomas received his J.D. from the school a year later.) ‘He’s been a person of grievance for as long as I’ve known him. Resentment, grievance, anger.’

Who is she talking about? Justice Thomas? Or herself?

But Hillary seems to be ignorant of the rise in prestige that Justice Thomas has been experiencing in recent years. And he would have every reason to harbor resentments after the way he was treated at his Senate hearings. Instead, he has served on the Court with honor, and he and his wife have built a lasting and respect-filled marriage, in spite of all the slings and arrows that have been sent their way.

Thank you, Justice and Ms. Thomas for your perseverance, commitment to the Constitution, and dedication to this country. You are exemplars of how far we have come as a country in spite of the forces of hatred and evil. May we never forget this moment in history. We are forever in your debt.

Although, the “robber” theme just doesn’t quite fit the current scenario of a member who has purchased unlimited, uninhibited latitude for his trolling. But I’ll go with it anyway…

    How about:

As in “I need to borrow this thread for a little bit. You don’t mind do you? You can even drive as long as you follow my directions to my destination.”

I find the attacks on her political and  racist. She married a black.  Give us a break.

Whatever the reasons others are attacking her, I’m not basing my criticisms on her race.  Also, they married in 1987.  Inter-racial marriages weren’t ground breaking by then or all that risky.

So I’m suppposed to give her a break because she married a black?  Is she a martyr because of it?  Not in 1987.  I see a women who gained influence because of the position her husband attained.

Clarence Thomas is quoted as saying “north is north” no matter what.  If she is endangering her husband’s position by her actions, then what has the inter-racial aspect of their marriage have to do with it?

The discussion may have taken a turn the OP didn’t like, but she essentially was writing a puff piece on both Clarence and Ginni.  Arguments directly against that premise does not constitute a hijack.

I have the right to add my comments just like anyone else, Al. Your assessment of Ginni is as speculative as any. Too bad you saw my writing as a puff piece, especially since they have been the subject of vile attacks for many years. And that an attack on Mrs. Thomas was justified because she was aggressive about supporting Trump. And the allusion to their intermarriage was made by other Leftist blacks, even in these enlightened times. There are people who will use any opportunity to attack Trump in any post; some of us think that is an effort to hijack.

Gary just can’t help himself. A wonderful tribute to a brave woman, and Gary Robbins just has to troll it.

Yes, it does no good to feed trolls. Just block him and move on.
