The Road to 600
You all have this empty void and can’t quite place it. And then you see the notice at the top of the page. NO PODCAST THIS WEEK.
Nature abhors a vacuum and I’m not so fond of them myself. So here’s a trip down memory lane..
#100 (January 8, 2012): Lileks, Robinson and Long on the New Hampshire primary and Mel Brooks movies.
Audio: None
Graphics level: Embarrassing.
#200 (January 11, 2014): Rob Long, Peter Robinson, James Lileks, Mollie Hemingway, Troy Senik, Jon Gabriel, DC McCallister, Dave Carter, Pat Sajak, Andrew Klavan, Jonah Goldberg, and Dennis Prager chat live in Los Angeles!
#300 (April 15, 2016) Pat Sajak and Harry Shearer.
The graphics are getting better, no?
#400 (May 14, 2018): Part of the AEI/Ricochet Podcast Summit in Washington, DC
Larry Kudlow bails on us for a meeting with the President (the nerve) but the show must go on and besides, it gave us time to talk more about Korean water heaters. (Yeah, Korean water heaters.)
#500 (June 12, 2020) We had big plans for this. Huuuuge. But we were up to our adenoids in bat virus. Locked down and miserable.
We’ll see you in the comments at Ricochet 4.0. Next week, boys!

Omigod . . . #200 . . . PETER ROBINSON’S SOCKS . . .
How about #1-5? Didn’t Mark Steyn participate in some of the early ones.
He did. But it’s like Lassie. Once June Lockhart shows up nobody is talking about Cloris Leachman anymore.
The audio for all of the shows exist on a mysterious hard drive kept in an industrial sized mayonnaise jar on the porch of Funk & Wagnalls but I don’t have access to it. (Cultural reference for those over 50.)
I think I have the first hundred or so downloaded. Somewhere…
I have them all, from the very start.
Don’t they still exist on the site too? I haven’t gone back that far to check.
But if anyone is missing any that they’d like to hear, let me know. If it’s a lot of them, then maybe send me a usb drive to put them on and mail back.
No, they don’t. We’ve been on several different servers and not all the audio migrated. And at first we were on Podbean and that account has long ceased to exist.
Well if you want them all back, send me a usb drive.
I don’t know how this happened but lil’ ol me was guest on #100…( I think it was 100🤔)
That’s why I subscribed back then. Haven’t missed a podcast since.
I get it. Damn, I’m old . . .
They also exist on hard drive #7 of my computer that has spaces for 8 hard drives.
Did you juggle chainsaws @franco?

Ha! Not my style. Besides it’s always fake in case you didn’t know. Juggling chainsaws is incredibly dangerous and stupid.
The chains are removed and there are these just little engines with a handle that look like a chainsaw. The only hard part is they are heavy.
But everyone wants to believe that it’s really dangerous. Juggling fire I’ve done, which is not especially dangerous other than burning some building down. Even knife juggling, let me tell you that knives look sharp but they really aren’t.
Shame on you and the rest of you depravedaudiences that want to see jugglers take unnecessary chances for your entertainment !
@franco Juggling with knives that aren’t the sharpest in the drawer? Sounds like Twitter.
Son O’Shea and I were there for 400. Took the Metro in from Silver Spring .
