Nice Shootin’, Tex!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to accurately and thoroughly describe the current nominal leader of the free world in 100 words or less. Try as you might, you will be hard-pressed to do any better than this bullseye:

It’s not too harsh a judgment to say that this is a man who has risen to the top of American public life without a trace of accomplishment. When you’ve been in national politics for almost 50 years, you ought to have achieved something, if only by accident. But this journeyman politician, when he wasn’t getting almost all the big issues wrong, was largely a bystander. He is now a husk of a leader, a dangerously debilitated figure, who oscillates between displays of vacuous incoherence and weird, angry outbursts, like a confused old man at the wrong bus stop.

For some reason, this came to mind as I read that for the first time:

Anyway, I’ve said it before but it is worth saying again: I hope he is lodged firmly in the Oval Office for four full years…no matter how bad the spectacle becomes. If this is the “talk” in (more or less) polite, sophisticated society less than a year in, how bad will it be in year four? The anchor around the neck of his party will be well deserved…and the larger lessons, while painful well beyond the party and its elitist, authoritarian, and/or just plain braindead enablers that made this ill-gotten rise to ultimate power possible, are (unfortunately) necessary if there is a future for American-style liberty on these shores.

For extra credit, try taking down the VP in 25 words or less any better than this:

Meanwhile, a heartbeat and a spine-chilling cackle away from the presidency, is another living rebuke to the idea that government is virtuous and wise.

That rebuke should be extended to those who rigged the 2020 Presidential election. Extremely short on both virtue and wisdom, they are, however, quite un-American and evil.

Good day.

I am unable to watch Biden.  It feels like I’m watching an animal suffering.  I used to be a Liberal (factory default settings for a San Franciscan), but I could never stomach Biden.  Then I saw a photo of him washing his Trans Am wearing shorts and loafers with no socks.

I was a conservative by the time Kamala was the DA of SF.  I could understand Willy Brown doing her, but he actually palled around with her, listening to her blather and cackling  . . .  I lost respect for the man.  He was corrupt, but he was smart and charming.

I lived in California in those years.  I feel the same about Willie and Kamala.

I knew from the title you were quoting a certain Ricochet member, then I read it and knew exactly who it was from having read it before.  Finally followed the link and found I was just flat wrong.

Doesn’t make it any less perfect!

Our president, in one short sentence.

P.S. Would it be possible to restore the video to proper form? Or at least make it a hyperlink? Thanks.

I noticed naked links getting eaten in promotion. I’m inclined to chalk it up to negligence rather than malevolence. It was easy for me to edit the post and re-add the link—though I wonder why I had to do this and wish I didn’t have to.

@max (Well, the call-out doesn’t seem to work either) might be able to help.

I often wonder if Spock’s admonition to Stonn rings true to Biden voters.

F! Biden, and everything about him! He’s living rent free, in our heads, and the Oval Office. I need to wake from this nightmare! Once awakened, may I never sleep again!
