Dr. Jill: POTUS Just Fine Mentally — I Feel Better Already!

The headline is “First lady Jill Biden dismisses concerns about president’s mental fitness: ‘Ridiculous'” If you believe that malarkey, I’ve got a deal on a bridge. From the article on Fox News:

First lady Jill Biden dismissed concerns about President Biden‘s mental acuity as “ridiculous,” during an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning.”

Touching on the president’s plummeting poll numbers, CBS correspondent Rita Braver noted to the first lady: “Quite a few Americans have some questions about the president’s current mental fitness.”

“I think that’s ridiculous,” Jill Biden responded.

My view, ridiculous though it may seem, —and full disclosure: I am not now nor have I ever been a medical professional – – is informed by that old standby technique, watching a person who cannot find his way to the Oval Office but chooses to go through the shrubbery instead, obviously has difficulty putting entire sentences together, always talks about “getting in trouble” with unknown persons if he says this or that (who is it that would “get” the President of the United States “in trouble”? Inquiring minds want to know) , chooses the moment he is speaking with a member of the British Royal Family to have what was reportedly a clearly audible “bowel dysfunction.”

In addition, I have considered the writings of persons reported to be medical experts in the field who have opined he is definitely declining from a cognitive standpoint and who also noted the significance of the fact that his recent physical exam did not include a cognitive ability test. Thus, and not to be trite about a situation I consider to be one of the most dangerous in American History — to have a cognitively impaired “Leader of the Free World” at a time when there are at least four mortal enemies just itching to take on an obviously wounded and weakened America — I guess it means it’s down to who are you going to believe, “Doctor” (please….) Jill or your lying eyes?

Another little jewel from the article:

A recent poll found that 46% of American voters agreed with the statement that “Joe Biden is mentally fit,” while 48% disagreed.

While trying to keep this discussion from getting too sharp-edged as I acknowledge, more fully than many in today’s body politic, that the First Amendment means what it says, I must wonder about the following. Are those 46% perhaps in some cognitive difficulty themselves? How could anyone with a sentient mind think this pathetic little figure, and I say that as someone who has disagreed with everything about him long before it became obvious that he was the head of, plain and simple, an international crime family, who is failing before our very eyes, is “mentally fit”?

Here is another morsel from this lovefest interview for all you despicable, toothless, smelly, moronic, January 6 “armed” “insurrectionists” to chew on:

Jill Biden said she believes that public opinion will “turn around” when they comprehend what the president is attempting to accomplish.

This is the very same snarky, condescending attitude that won Donald J. Trump the Presidency in 2016 and, from all accounts, is likely to do it again, if not for President Trump then for another Republican candidate (please, please make it our governor, Ron DeSantis!). As a response to that kind of Elite sneer down the nose remark, I could not improve on one of the comments to this article:

RussM

On the contrary, Jill. I think the public opinion and worst approval rating of any President in US history is because WE THE PEOPLE fully comprehend what he’s accomplished in less than 10 months in office. Worst inflation in 39 years, gas at $5 a gallon and rising, open borders, skyrocketing crime, vilifying and crippling law enforcement and supporting/empowering criminals. It’s obvious.

Therefore, it would appear that I spoke for the 46% who are just fine with this doddering, dangerously cognitively impaired, thoroughly and deeply corrupt old pol when I wrote the headline to this piece! As they would apparently say: I feel better already!

As the Great Justices of the United States Supreme Court have said down through the centuries:

I respectfully dissent.

There are people who never once watch more than a few seconds of Biden (or Trump) and rely on hearsay. So Jill Biden – Doctor Jill Biden, excuse me – is playing to that crowd.

But have some compassion. She must believe this fiction, otherwise she’s guilty of elder abuse.

Darned! When I read that I remembered, a tad late, I had planned to put that in the post, along with the  fact that since I am definitely a card-carrying Elder myself, I am uniquely qualified to make that statement!

You left out the bit about finding food on his chin and then eating it in a manner one only sees with chimpanzees. At least he didn’t throw his feces at the Brits…yet.

I’d like to know what meds he’s on.  And when he takes them.  There are times he’s more lucid than others.  I’m convinced it has to do with the meds.

The irony was when the Left(and NT) wanted to claim Trump was mentally unfit and his Cabinet should remove Trump from office by way of the 25th Amendment, while some may have been serious, most were making the claim facetiously with malice to take a politically motivated jab at Trump.  But the (D)/Left/NT sincerely would have liked to remove Trump from office and replace him with Pence.

Now I have to believe most of the world can clearly discern that Joe Biden, due to age related cognitive decline, is not up to the task required of the President and leader of the free world.   Yet no one on the (R) Right is clamoring for what would be an entirely reasonable request that Biden be removed under the 25th Amendment because no conservative actually wants an even nuttier Leftist empty pants suit President Kamala Harris.

I think Dr. Jill was referring to the president’s mental health, and not the question. (As she once again led him from the podium.)

Edith Wilson assists stroke-impaired Woodrow Wilson to sign legislation.

That’s what came to mind too.  Here is PBS had to say in “When a secret president ran the country

“Protective of both her husband’s reputation and power, Edith shielded Woodrow from interlopers and embarked on a bedside government that essentially excluded Wilson’s staff, the Cabinet and the Congress. During a perfunctory meeting the president held with Sen. Gilbert Hitchcock (D-Neb.) and Albert Fall (R-N.M.) on Dec. 5, he and Edith even tried to hide the extent of his paralysis by keeping his left side covered with a blanket. Sen. Fall, who was one of the president’s most formidable political foes told Wilson, “I hope you will consider me sincere. I have been praying for you, Sir.” Edith later recalled that Woodrow was, at least, well enough to jest, “Which way, Senator?” A great story, perhaps, but Wilson’s biographer, John Milton Cooper, Jr. doubts its veracity and notes that neither Edith nor Dr. Grayson recorded such a clever rejoinder in their written memoranda from that day.

“For the remainder of her life, Edith Wilson steadfastly insisted that her husband performed all of his presidential duties after his stroke. As she later declared in her 1938 autobiography, “My Memoir”:

So began my stewardship, I studied every paper, sent from the different Secretaries or Senators, and tried to digest and present in tabloid form the things that, despite my vigilance, had to go to the President. I, myself, never made a single decision regarding the disposition of public affairs. The only decision that was mine was what was important and what was not, and the very important decision of when to present matters to my husband.

So I never thought that Jill would say other than what she did.  I get the feeling that Joe’s presidency is as much for her ego as for his.

Jim George: Here is another morsel from this lovefest interview for all you despicable, toothless, smelly, moronic, January 6 “armed” “insurrectionists” to chew on:

I did not give ANYone the unlimited discretion to alter my very words and the very meaning of one of my central thoughts in writing this piece. Here again, as  when I made a vain attempt to get some “transparency” from whatever/whoever may make these momentous decisions to find out who decided my expression of my opinion of what a certain member was to a fellow lawyer as a result of what I saw as disgraceful remarks of his which, to me at least, seemed to carry a disgraceful lack of awareness of The Rule of Law, which he and I both are charged to protect and defend, was “a personal attack.” It was no such thing and, while I cannot speak for others, it needed to be said to this particular fellow lawyer. So, if the very meaning of my writing is to be altered in favor of some “agenda” on some editor’s part, just count me out. Also, if this is really a “free” speech forum, let me know, here and now, the basis on which someone (?) made the decision that one lawyer expressing an opinion about the questionable ethics of another lawyer on this forum– and how they arrived at that decision if they are not members of the Bar themselves– as it is necessary for these ex parte edicts, with no explanation whatsoever, to come to an end if this is really to continue as a “free” speech forum. As part of that request, please consider this my request that I be provided, a right every American citizen is Constitutionally guaranteed, the identification of the person whose complaint occasioned that action, and the grounds upon which the complaint was based.
