Clarity of Vision, OBL Style

It is part of the trove of documents recovered from Osama Bin Laden’s compound after his assassination, and details Bin Laden’s directive that Joe Biden (at the time the Vice President of the United States) must not be targeted for assassination and that, in fact, every effort should be made to target and assassinate Barack Obama in order to elevate Biden to the US Presidency as soon as possible.  Because, Bin Laden believed, the “totally unprepared” Biden would inevitably lead the US into a crisis.

The above was written in May 2010.  Doubters can find the original (translated) here, on the West Point Combating Terrorism Center website.

Good to see proof that every Biden voter has been aligned with al Qaeda. But they still think he is better than Trump, who somehow managed to actually achieve dramatic accomplishments in spite of his “style.”

But there will always those who choose style over substance.

Wow. Osama bin Laden had better personnel judgement than the New York Times. Than the Wasnington Post. Than ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR …

I’ve known Slow Joe was a pudd’nhead since he channeled Neil Kinnock back in 1987.

Everybody understood what Biden was and what he would do.  How could they not?  He has about 50 years of public service record for all to see.  What we have now is what the American people want.  What happened in Afghanistan is what the American people voted for.  This is what we are (at least the majority of people that voted for him).  This event, these deaths sit on their souls.  I just hope that God judges them appropriately when their time comes.

Yes, that was pretty much a dead give-away.

Well I don’t know about that.

What (I think) I do know, though, is that while it’s amusing, and sometimes cathartic, to make mordant observations about the great Western powers having been defeated by “men who have sex with goats,” there is a considerable contingent of the leadership among such men who are smart and highly-educated, and who have a vision and singleness of purpose that has not been bred out of them by two or three generations of weak-kneed, self-loathing masochists of the English (h/t Orwell) or any other, Left.

To think that they have much in common with, or care much about, the peasants in their own “flyover” countries, most of whom would simply like to be left alone to subsist in their own tribal ways, is the height of naivete.   Or perhaps mendaciousness.

OBL, his ilk, and his successors, are just as concerned with nation-building for fun and their own profit as anyone else.  Unfortunately for us at this point in time, they’re more focused, more brutal, and more willing to go to any length to achieve their goals than is almost anyone in the West.

“Let me be clear: Any American who wants to come home, we will get you home. I cannot promise what the final outcome will be, or that it will be without the risk of loss.”

I don’t even know what this means, but it looks like OBL had a bead on the speaker.

How interesting that Lieutenant Colonel Liam Collins, the Director of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, makes no mention of the matter of assassinating American officials in his published analysis of these documents.   One has to wonder, is this too good to be true?

Does this mean get you home dead?

Biden has a 50 year record.  I doubt there was much service to the public involved.

I said the same thing in 2008, and 2013: it is to Obama’s credit to pick the stupidest person possible for VP. For just this reason.

well, here we here. Stupid picked stupider, well-played.

Yeah, but this is Joe Biden we’re talking about.

That’s a pretty low limbo bar to clear.

During the Obama regime I got the distinct impression from some government/science people I’ve known that Biden was viewed by them pretty much the way Osama bin Laden viewed him.

Not sure which aspect of the post or the comments you’re questioning.  There is a link in the OP to the same website you mention above, the CTC at West Point, which is where the original documents (those that were declassified–I believe there are seventeen of them) are housed.

I have read most of the particular document in question (in English, although it’s also available in its original Arabic as well), and it can be found, on that website, at the link in the OP.

I can’t speak to what Colonel Collins (Retd) had to say about the documents that were declassified and are housed on the CTC website, or why he did or didn’t say what he did (or didn’t).  He’ll have to speak for himself on that.

And I’ve seen no assertion that the document isn’t genuine, or any claims by the CTC that the website has been hacked and fraudulent documents posted there.

I think it has always been evident to all of us, the left included.  That is why it was such a dereliction to select him as the Democrat candidate: there was always a chance that he could be elected.  You cannot love this country and be willing to allow him to take the reins of power in a serious office.  And yet, they did just that.

Indeed.  On a slightly different note, I’m watching the current press briefing (Kirby and Taylor).  What a stammering, incoherent fool John Kirby is.  That he achieved the rank of  Rear Admiral in the US Navy is sad, but telling.  He’s either oblivious of the facts and treading water like mad, or he’s lying through his teeth.  Either way, just awful.
