SNL joining in early for the “odd-year journalism” bandwagon.

This one from the Simpsons seems so quaint now by comparison.

Imagine, warning people about the “dangers” of constitutional amendments.

    Those were such innocent times….

That was really funny.  Good job, SNL.

I think there’s so much funny stuff with Obama.  A shame they’ve tread so lightly over the years.

I was remembering that while watching this.

Delighted to see them do it.  While it clearly doesn’t mean that SNL is suddenly turned into a cast of conservatives, it does show that even Obama can go too far.

I thought it was absolutely hysterical!

I may or may snuck this into this morning’s Daily Shot.

Also, that whole episode of SNL was pretty good.  Up to and including Weekend Update, of course.  The bottom of the show was terrible.

I thought it was really funny too.

Though, I wish they would’ve ended with Obama grabbing the Executive Order’s cig and saying, “I’ll take that too!” then taking a long drag.

I don’t think that most people will understand why it’s funny. But perhaps they’ll look back from a shabbier time and get it.

I watched it twice this morning. Great stuff. Obama is a lightly mined humor vein, that’s for sure. Hopefully this is the beginning of many classic SNL skits exploiting that pay dirt.

No worries. The WaPo is already on the job covering for him.

Holy cow!  That’s embarrassing.  Analysis of an SNL skit?

Of course it gets stuff wrong… it’s a parody.

Hey – I’m sure the WaPo ran similar corrections of SNL sketches when the show skewered George W., right?  Right???  After all, they are an unbiased, fact-based news organization.  They are NOT a mouthpiece for the Left.  In NO WAY. Really.  Just ask them.

How much effort did they put into debunking the “I can see Russia from my house” line, which was uttered by Tina Fey and not by Sarah Palin?

They do a whole fake news segment every week for crying out loud.

It’s safe for them to do it now that he’s a lame duck. Watch for a lot more “Hillary rips into Obama” skits where Clinton is handled mildly humorously but also very gently as she shreds six years of Obama’s hilarious antics…that for some reason the writers just now discovered.

But hey, enough of the cynicism. Good for them for doing it.

As you probably know, in influencing public opinion SNL trumps WaPo.

That was pretty funny.  When SNL starts making fun of Obama, I think Obama has lost the nation.
