Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
This week, author and Manhattan Institute fellow Heather Mac Donald joins the show to discuss her important new book, The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe. Also, Paul Manafort exits, auto promotion and Ricochet’s editorial voice (or lack of one), and a heartfelt “bye-bye!” to John McLaughlin, who’s long running show, The McLaughlin Group is a distant relative of this very podcast.

The brand new opening sequence for the Ricochet Podcast was composed and produced by James Lileks.

Anybody remember Agronsky and Company, the predecessor to the McLaughlin Group?
Is this your organization:

Are the grants what goes into the field to support folks like you and your wife?
First Reference: As my friend Tim McNabb said…
Second Reference: As it has been wisely said…
Third Reference: As I always say…
IOM is our “sending agency,” meaning that they’re the 501(c)3 that our support goes through. Our support comes from people who give to support us, but do so by giving through IOM and designating it to go to our account, thus getting the legal tax deductions and ensuring legal compliance on our end. Plus, they provide support here in the field, financial expertise, and accountability to our supporters. Technically, we’re IOM missionaries volunteering with Agape International Missions in Cambodia.
Two Comments on the Podcast:
I disagree with James that “No one will be swayed one way or the other.” My group of friends, including my wife and I, are all on the fence. We don’t know which is better and will likely be deciding right up to election day. Many of us are waiting for the debates, but a few of us rely on the dialogue in the podcasts and Ricochet website to help us make up our minds. SO PLEASE continue to have rational pro trump guests like last weeks, Dr. Larry Arnn.
Thanks guys for the most intelligent and fair conversation about Trump on the internet.
Also, that song? I can’t believe someone ever wrote that song, and it makes me really angry. I shouldn’t be surprised. Thanks for this weeks guest too. There isn’t much room in politics for root cause analysis and defining the problem accurately, which is the cornerstone of my business.
“What It Means”: bad protest song, or worst protest song ever? To paraphrase “Animal House”: flaccid and mindless is no way to go through life, son.”
Glad to see that other members objected to the closing song.
