Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
After an extended absence, the men of GLoP are back to answer and discuss the most important issues of the day: Is it time to break out the midterm victory champagne? The Spiderman reboot: a great or the greatest Spiderman reboot? Does Benghazi really matter? Does it matter as much of Game of Thrones? How about Mad Men? Also, Star Wars, a GloP deep dive on Frank Soto’s Monogamy: What Is It Good For? post, the funniest thing on Twitter, and Rob describes a unique French hygiene custom. Yup, we go there.
We’ve got a bad feeling about this, EJHill.

I found it hard to believe but Jonah was right.
Park Slope values, what?! Take that back!
Rob….Rob..I am your father.
Who..Wha…Whoa!!!!!
Regards,
Jim (naaah…still just couldn’t be)
Another great show. The banter is (especially the previous episode) like what I would imagine Schnitzler and Krauss having in Vienna. I love the impersonations of liberal talking points and arguments Jon and Rob do from time to time, as someone who also lives in a bubble of liberal Groupthink in NY and in the art world I hear this all the time. (Not to leave DC out) See you at Chuckles Jon.
Controversial has always meant ‘liberals don’t like it’. If 95% of the people are in favor of something but the NYT is against it, it remains controversial until the moment 50.1% turn against it at which point it becomes ‘old news; and a ‘settled issue’. In much the same way a 51-49 liberal victory is a mandate for massive change while a 65-35 conservative victory means the people were fooled by advertising.
John has mentioned Park Slope several times which is interesting to me because I grew up there when college degrees were extremely rare and many of the parents dropped out of high school to go to work in the1930’s.
I thought it was a roundabout way of saying “eaten by Rob Long.”
Agreed. Three very funny guys whose opinions don’t make me grind my teeth.
Too much Podhoretz, not enough Goldberg.
I guess I wont get that time back.
GLoP Culture XXIX We’re back to Roman numerals!
Way to go, E.J.
