At this point in the trial, if I was a jury member, I would say that Chauvin did nothing wrong. The entire group of officers followed protocol. Among the many interesting facts revealed so far is the delayed response of the medics. If they had responded in their normal time frame, Floyd would have been taken into the ambulance directly from the squad car. The entire time Chauvin kneeled over Floyd’s shoulder (not his neck, as photos and testimony have revealed), he was patiently waiting for an ambulance that should already have been there.
It’s depressing when so many people want to ignore basic legal protections.
Ok, got a question for you… How is it that you correctly state that we need trails so that a strong accusation isnt enough to convict someone – but when it comes to Matt Geatz you want to throw him out, before all the details of the accusation are even known?
Granted if true the accusation is terrible – but why dont we wait until we know the facts before we ruin his life?
This podcast also unapologetically threw around the “murder” in the case of Brian Sidnick.

Even Jim Geraghty, who gets a lot wrong, was saying that Biden is always in the middle of the party not the middle of the country. The Dems have shifted so far to the left so Biden has shifted at least half that way. No one should have believed he was a moderate.
Hmmm. “Moderate Democrats”, a rare breed. Has there been a sighting? I heard that there are occasional glimpses of the Manchinicus West Virginicus species, but it’s endangered.
what if Chauvin takes the stand and says he just made a mistake in judgment? He thought it best to keep Mr. Floyd still and unaware of the increasingly hostile crowd. Thought it would be bad for the man to see the crowd and start resisting again.
No. I dont think Chauvin should never take the stand ever… The cross examination would be brutal with leading questions, 1/2 truths, straw men…
Every defense objection would just be recycled in the closing argument… I would be shocked if Chauvin testifies.
All he is talking about is what he did in a 10 minute period. Like was said in the podcast, he will be found guilty of manslaughter. He has to testify and make the case that he thought he was doing the right thing. Where is the justice in convicting someone who makes a mistake on the job?
They’ll make the case with expert testimony and examination of the videos of the incident.
We’ll find out this week. I think he died of a drug over dose. If Chauvin is guilty of anything, it would be negligent manslaughter…
That is a great review by timcast. It clearly reviews the data that creates the legal basis of doubt. That however doesn’t change the jury members preconceived, ingrained, MSM propaganda demand and PRESSURE to convict. Any legal student would review the data presented in the trial to date, and agree: acquittal is required. I have serious doubts that the seated jury in Minn will come to the same conclusion. The political comic of the day pointed out: convict or riot. Those are the two options each jurist knows deep down in their hearts. That is immense pressure on each of the jurists. I fear justice will not be served.
No, you’re right. The jury is under enormous pressure to convict. Maybe this is why the prosecution went forward with a case that seems so weak. Hopefully their is enough courage left in that room to do the right thing, and follow the facts. But nothing would surprise me anymore.
