Carly Trolls Hillary in South Carolina

carlyfiorinaCarly Fiorina is visiting South Carolina at the same time as Imperator Hillary. Needless to say, only one of these presidential candidates is deigning to speak to the press. NRO’s Jim Geraghty shares the GOP hopeful’s press release:

Carly Fiorina is speaking in downtown Columbia, South Carolina on Wednesday. And guess what? So is Hillary Clinton.

We know it must be hard covering the Hillary for America But Against Transparency campaign. And if the last few weeks have shown us anything, it’s that the Clinton Way isn’t about change, small businesses, the middle class, reshuffling the deck, or, certainly, trust in leadership. It’s all about the Clintons. (Oh, and Carly has 3 email addresses on her phone. Amazing how technology works!)

Leading by example, Carly will host a media availability outside the Columbia Marriott at 12:00pm on Wednesday. She will also be speaking to the South Carolina Republican Legislative Caucus at 12:30pm at the Hilton Columbia Center a few blocks away. (We hear Mrs. Clinton is speaking to the Democrat Caucus at the same time, but they aren’t letting you anywhere near their event. No surprise there!)

Our events tomorrow are all open to the press. And by open press, we mean we’ll actually take questions. That’s right. We’ve answered hundreds of questions from reporters because we believe the American people will not and should not elect a president that can’t answer for her record, won’t explain her positions or for whom the truth is whatever she can get away with.

This snarky and substantive response is par for the course, making Fiorina the most fun candidate to watch right now. Obviously, the press must be happy that someone is actually willing to entertain their questions, right? Right? Not so much.

The New York Times and their fellow liberal blogs hammered Fiorina for the “tone” of her answers, for taking questions in the wrong way, and for not taking enough of them. As opposed to Imperator Hillary. Who took none.

What kind of bait does Carly Furiouso use to lure a response from the dumpy grandma who wasn’t awake for her much-discussed 3:00am telephone call while Americans were dying in an embassy?

Hmm.  Carly’s going to have to create a team of super-geniuses to find stuff to bait Hillary with.  Because Hillarious is bulletproof, politically.  Transparency and competence unchained!

Similarly to what Lincoln said of Grant, I want to find out what brand of whiskey Carly drinks so I can purchase cases of the same brand for the GOP candidates I like.

I might not want to give too much to Cruz however, I might create a monster.

Carly Fiorina is Hillary’s worst nightmare: A woman who has actual accomplishments she can point to. And being a woman, Fiorina can go for the jugular in a way a male candidate simply cannot.

Can you imagine if someone like Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio said those things? All we would be hearing about is the big bad male bully who is attacking that poor lovable grandmother Hillary. And there would be about 10 million #waronwomen hashtagged posts on Twitter.

Fiorina upends Hillary’s entire electoral strategy. She’s also smarter than Hillary and fearless.

I don’t know if Fiorina could win in a general election, but I’m loving what she’s doing right now.

What I don’t understand is:  Why the reluctance to punch hard at Hillary’s campaign?  What’s the downside?  The women who are going to vote for Hillary anyway are going to vote really, really hard?  At worst you’re going to lose some squishes in the middle, maybe, amongst women, but you might actually gain that back by pointing out what a colossal mistake that woman is as a politician, and how her entire political life has been about enlarging her coffers while simultaneously complaining, out loud to the media, that she’s “broke”.

Two-faced hypocrites need to get slammed down hard at every opportunity, else they start to think – like Hillary does – that it’s OK to lie, be a liar, and a be a two-faced lying liar that gets treated like a queen because she’s a liar, and can do illegal things, too, and that’s ok, because, of course, it’s Hillary.

A woman who stuck by her man.  I’d ask her that question in a debate.  “So, Hillary, it turns out that you did stand by your man.  How’s that working out for you?”

The more I grow to like Fiorina, the more I grow to dislike California voters. They chose the contemptible Barbara Boxer over her?

I like Carly Fiorina – she is frank with answers to questions of import.  She may not be THE one, but she will help bring to mind some the issues that need to be addressed with this election cycle.

Dear Carly. Get rid of the photos with contact lenses that make you look glassy-eyed and crazy-eyed. Glasses would be much better if that is your option. I respect your achievements and support your overhaul of the system.

I know she’s a long shot for the nomination. But I like Fiorina and would love to see her debate the Wicked Witch of the East. She is smart and fearless. I see Carly is still at 4% on the Rico poll for “1st Choice GOP candidate.” I’m one of the 4%.

I have read elsewhere that she is starting a twitter campaign at #AskHillary. Dang! This might force me to joint Twitter, and I do not want to be bothered with Twitter. Go Carly! Great idea.

I never understand why political reporters telegraph their emotions so clearly in their writing, as this NYT reporter does in the article linked above.

It is stunning really. What is she hoping to achieve other than to erase any last vestige of credibility?

That is just beautiful trolling!  It’s like having an enemy force surrounding the walls of a city and taking their swords and rattling them between the bars of the gates while taunting “Come out and play!  We’re here for you.”

I voted for her. If she keeps up shenanigans like this, I might do it again… It’s only in good fun, in my state, of course. But, still.
