Cheaters Should Never Prosper

You can always tell when you are near the nest when the mockingbird screeches and dives shockingly close.

As you may know, the Arizona Senate has commenced an “audit” of the last presidential and senatorial vote results here in Maricopa County.  This has Democrats howling; they have continuously opposed any recounts in the courts.  Thus far, these legal actions have been of little consequence and the audit continues.

Democrat allies in the local press daily report on voter suppression and partisanship and attempt to discredit the auditors and in advance, any findings.

All the while, everyone knows that the election results are final and can not be changed. And the press, Democrats even some Republicans, (alas, our Governor) continually claim that there is nothing to see here, all is fine, go away.

But, sorry, there is likely something to see here and this audit will likely find it.

The main audit process is just a manual recount of actual marked ballots (not facsimiles).  If this recount significantly differs from reported results, we have a problem.  But the “audit” portion of the review seems to be the most vexing to Democrats.  They sued to find out exactly what the auditors had planned and received some relief.  For example, ballots are being examined under special lights.  Evidence of folds, for example, will be evidence that an early, mail-in ballot was actually mailed. Fingerprints will indicate whether or not it was handled.  And actual vote marks can be scrutinized to see whether they were applied manually or mechanically.  No doubt this audit evidence will not change any result, but if there are many ballots lacking fingerprints, folds, and showing mechanical marks (especially if only the national races are marked), then the election results will be very difficult to defend.  Worse, this will likely result in a deep distrust of the election process.  Hardened process controls will have to be implemented for future elections.

In addition, the audit will include procedures meant to verify voter rolls.  The election day voter signature verification process in Maricopa county is electronic and there is much to review there that, again, can’t be used to alter the results but which may point to fraud.  For example, auditors could verify voter addresses, especially those with multiple voters, to see if they represent actual residences.  If they do, they could further visit those addresses to verify residents.  Auditors will likely scrutinize voter lists against pre-vote death statistics.  A process could be designed to scrutinize voters who were registered, but who had never voted before.  These voters may be canvassed to ensure that they actually voted in the last election.  There are multitudes of audit procedures here that could uncover evidence of voter fraud.

And last of all, the actual vote accumulation machines can be scrutinized for any number of issues.  I assume that ballots are maintained by machine, so hand counts can be compared to machine results.  The audit will also likely be able to verify definitively that the Dominion voting machines were not tampered with, were never online, and that the accumulation software worked appropriately.

I expect that this audit will find significant issues and evidence of fraud.  This will change nothing and the auditors will be vilified in the press as partisans and incompetent.  But remember, this is an audit commenced on behalf of the Arizona Senate.  It will result in a significant tightening of the controls over election reporting, voter registration, voter list maintenance and scrutiny, and early voting.  Democrats will continue to cry “voter suppression” but it will be for naught.

Hopefully, this will lead to model legislation that can be adopted around the country.

If this is true, why do they make such a fuss about the audit? I think there is a Shakespeare quote.

I remain hopeful, but it sure doesn’t seem likely.  Certainly not in the most-corrupt states.

Might be interesting to check fingerprints and see if any were handled by felons.

While I’m confident that a great deal of cheating occurred, I’m agnostic as to whether or not it was enough — and in the right places — to throw the election. I certainly didn’t expect the outcome of the first night to be overturned.

But one thing I did hope might happen is an actual investigation into at least some of the problematic precincts and reports. I’m heartened to see that occurring in Arizona.

Proof of significant fraud, if uncovered in a single investigation, will put paid to the tired claim that “there is no voting fraud,” and make it that much harder for those who favor lax electoral laws to continue to undermine election integrity. I’m looking forward to hearing the results.

Even if there was zero cheating in this particular election, it’s in the interests of Democrats to anathematize any suggestion that Republicans should be allowed to audit.

Weren’t a lot of ballots in Arizona already destroyed?  Seems like that happened in a few other states too.

Wonderful summary. Easy to read and it nicely covers the in’s and out’s.

My fingers are crossed that this will indeed be the beginning of the end.

As Bob Dylan once sang, “I’ve seen a lot of funny men, some rob you with a six gun, some with a  fountain pen.”

The felons that handled those ballots were for the most part, members of the criminal Dem party organization, where crime does seem to pay.

It would be absolutely marvelous if many of these crooks could be sentenced with felonies for their part in the fraud.

Hey, I’m still waiting on the Durham investigation. It’s got to be something big. The guy has successfully persecuted, no prosecuted, nay plea bargained some lawyer into a sharp rap on the knuckles by Sister Mary Elephant.

That’s my way of saying, “Don’t get your hopes up.” My prediction, the audit results will provide both sides with more fund raising arguments. It might even reveal cheating by Republicans. That never happens!

I’m not sure there’s any good way of ascribing election fraud to a certain party by direct evidence.  It’s likely going to be “circumstantial,” in terms of the numbers of votes.  Which means that the only way to “prove” Republican cheating would be to find a number of mail-in ballots which were never mailed (as shown by them never having been folded, or something) that were marked for Republican candidates, especially in the Presidential case.  Even if there are some such ballots, I expect the number of fraudulent Biden votes to be much higher, suggesting that the fraudulent Trump ballots were planted in order to allow for cries of “your side does it too!”

The only way that the Democrats will agree to steps against vote fraud is if the Republicans get better at vote fraud than the Democrats.

Why would anyone have any more confidence in the results of the Cyber Ninjas audit, since it has already declared the November results a fraud, than in the previously announced results?  If this were a Democratic outfit “auditing” a Republican win with limited transparency on process and ability of opposition observers to closely monitor, we’d be going nuts about this.

If the so-called audit shows that the error rate was nominal will you apologize to the good people of Arizona and to our Secretary of State, Governor and Attorney General for the nonsense you have put them through?  Will you insist that Trump stop his “Stop the Steal” screed?  Will you agree to never vote for Trump again?

Some people seem to be very touchy on that subject. Whether it shows theft or not, it will not have been nonsense to verify whatever can be verified.

I don’t think the good people of Arizona would be owed an apology: no one is accusing the good people of Arizona of chicanery. However, it will be nice if we can confirm that no not-so-good people got into things and messed up the vote. And it isn’t “nonsense” to make some effort to confirm or dispel a suspicion held by millions of people about a highly contentious election. That’s just good sense.

    Gary Robbins (View Comment):

I could as easily ask if you will promise to stop working to elect senile Democrats who push a revolutionary hard-left agenda. But I won’t, because you did once and I’d be a fool to assume you won’t do it again.

And even if they can’t find definitive proof of cheating, that’s become sort of a feature, not a bug.  Dirty voter rolls, mass-mailing of “absentee” ballots, etc, are difficult to impossible to clean up after the fact.  Even if they go around “randomly canvassing” registered voters etc, it may not be enough to conclusively prove fraud, especially to the level that would change the outcome.  (A favored “standard” of the cheaters.)  But that’s not conclusive proof that it DIDN’T happen.

This is a manual recount with additional analysis and scrutiny of voter lists (not actual votes, just voters, as in, do they exist at the addresses listed and did they vote in the election) and of the ballots themselves.  If votes were added or changed, then the recounts will show it.  If ballots were marked mechanically, this can be detected or if mail in ballots were never handled or folded or were marked mechanically, then we know that those votes were manufactured and those votes should be cancelled.  Now regarding the existence of voters from the lists, we can never invalidate any underlying votes if voters were in essence, manufactured.  The same goes for votes by dead persons.  But we can point out the fact that this was done to cover votes serepticiously added to the counts, perhaps sufficient to invalidate the election.

I trust that all of the above will be found.  And people will dismiss all of this evidence as paranoid delusion.

So let’s wait for the results, shall we? Biden won the state by a knife’s edge.  If the audit shows nothing, I will be, if nothing else, surprised.  I don’t think I’ll have to vote for Trump again.  He’ll not run again.   DeSantis, Cruz and Abbott wait in the wings.

You have never dealt with auditors before have you? Also some people this is all they wanted. To see if the smoke was caused by fire or if the election was not impacted because of breaking the law. There was a lot of suspicious activity and many just wanted further investigation. To see if it mattered.  Now this is not going to catch being paid to fill out a ballot or ballot harvesting of legal voters.

I think detail audits should be mandatory all the time. The cost is small compared to the distrust and possible long term stability issues.

I will at lest in AZ breath a sign of relief that if there was corruption it the much harder type that has an absolute max in the number of ballot one can swing.

If you have nothing to hide those who care about truth are going to reassured. Still would not answer the question if the election results was changed in other states though.

“News reporters” say “alleged” even when there’s video of someone shooting or beating someone.

And they say “mostly peaceful” while standing in front of burning buildings.
