We Decided Not to See Bernie
Bernie Sanders spoke in our hometown of Aiken, SC, Friday at 1 p.m. His campaign headquarters is close to where we live, so last night, neutral observer and I talked about how we ought to go. I was going to wear my KGB t-shirt and she was going to wear my Moscow University tee. We laughed hysterically at the thought!
However, after sobering up sleeping on it, we decided not to go. I told one of my old friends about the idea, and he pointed out someone might take my picture. Imagine a newspaper photograph of Stad, a die-hard conservative at a Bernie Sanders rally wearing a KGB tee! This is a not the public image I want to project.
Ironically, Sanders’ Aiken campaign office is located next to a gun store. I wonder how security is going to handle that…

T-shirt seen around 2008: “Gravediggers: shovel ready for socialism”
I know, but . . . . Fidel! That’s his bro.
Also, I think it would be a better shirt with small er faces and ALL of those other merry despots included. Throw in Voldemort, the Night King, and Sauron.
Eww. Maybe I should read the rest of the verses.
I must respectfully disagree. None of these three is authoritarian enough to be on the same shirt as the other guys
<sarcasm off >
<cynicism always on >
The tee shirts are in Cyrillic.
No. Good graphic design is not cluttered; otherwise you end up with a visual mess that is not eye-catching. Furthermore, by merely adding Bernie to the end that iconic lineup of Communist
heroesmonsters you keep it instantly recognizable.You’re right, good call.
Recognizable, also prophetic.
Extreme anti-freedom and anti-market opinions should be challenged on their home turf. If a KGB shirt provides the opportunity to put forward the challenge, it might worth it. Better still is to have dissenting voices constitute 50% of the audience at every Bernie rally.
