Great and true sentiment; but this folded flag looks more like Memorial Day than Veterans Day, to me.
Yes. The usual conflation in the U.S. context, where the shocking losses of our Civil War drove local and then national observation of Decoration (of graves) and then Memorial Day. Indeed, it was the large losses, in our second encounter with the revolution in firepower, that changed Memorial Day from Civil War only to honoring all war dead.
