Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
The Ricochet Podcast: Ask The Founders*
We do this a couple of times a year: instead of booking a politician, an author, or a member of the punditariot, we open the floor to you, our faithful members to ask whatever you want of Rob Long, Peter Robinson, or James Lileks (fact check: James is not technically a Founder, but he always gets interesting questions).
So leave your questions in the comments. Everything is on the table. Or under the table, as it were. We’ll answer them on this week’s show (due out Friday). See you then!
P.S. You have to be a member to participate. Not a member? Click here and address that gross oversight.
*In some circles this show is also known as the “They Couldn’t Book a Guest” episode.

YouTube is well down the road to banning any videos dealing with firearms.
Ricochet has a strong population of firearm enthusiast.
So, any chance Ricochet will be be hosting firearm videos, or other videos in the future?
Honest-to-Heaven answer? Because I like you.
Here’s the original base image, a production still from the HBO series John Adams:
Preppy Tory – Oxford Class of 1737
The angle of the hat and the angle of all the heads meshed perfectly… except yours. The hat would have been askew. Which is fine if you’re a minor league baseball pitcher making a “fashion statement,” but not for someone as dignified as yourself.
The other suggestion was much more doable.
EJ, I should have known. How could I ever have doubted you?
P.S. That sweater looks like wool. You know I only wear cashmere.
Why do I read your words and hear the voice of Jack Benny?
(Of which you and I have a mutual admiration.)
I look more Floundery than Founderish, but the truth hurts.
Here’s a wiseacre comment to please Peter. How long did James study under Victorino Matus to become a segue master?
Seriously, I enjoy both of them for their ability to craft a seamless segue.
A question for Peter and James, since I think I know Rob’s answer: Do you suppose the sum total of conservatism in the hearts and minds of Americans will be greater or lesser after 4 years of Trump than it would have been after 4 years of Clinton?
What is your best failure.
What can Ricochet never be? And no points for a cute “a haven for internet trolls”, that’s too easy. Clearly the idea of the site, a bit of cash for keeping the trolls at bay, is an idea that works. It’s expanded greatly in the A/V Club sense, with consistent streaming of multiple podcasts.
PJ Media was a site I regularly tuned into, mostly for Bill Whittle’s stuff and some of the other media. I’m assuming, at some point, that some kind of video production will be part of Ricochet.
But what are its limits? And would that even matter? Is there a point where you declare victory?
Last question (aka “The Robinson Technique”): Are you guys getting tired of Ricochet?
Do each of you believe that conservatism can make actual change in the country, or are we doomed to ever-more progressive policies & lifestyles, and the best we can hope for is to delay the inevitable?
Follow-up question: Why is it “conservatism” instead of “conservativism?”
Random still frames from video can be both fun (when it’s not you) and horrifying (when it is.)
Thought I’d try teeing this up again. BTW, thought this was amusing – last week a friend asked me, “What’s that site you were talking about? Boomerang?”
