When Can We Call It a Cabal?

One of my favorite TV shows is “Blacklist.” yes, it is bloody, sordid, and unbelievable at times, but it’s TV. One aspect of the show focuses on an international cabal, whose leadership is still in question. But who needs TV? I hate to sound paranoid, but I think that Obama formed his own cabal. Was he the one to start it, or are we only seeing its latest iteration? Is George Soros behind all of these plans?

When you have people like Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, John Brennan, James Clapper, Lois Lerner, John Koskinen, James Comey, Adam Schiff, Susan Rice, and Samantha Powers clearly violating government policies for the same end, it makes one wonder what in the world is happening. Whose names have I forgotten? Do you think there is a person in charge of all of these people? Is there more of a plan than just getting rid of Donald Trump in the short term? Or is there a long-term diabolical outcome planned?

Someone please tell me I’m nuts, and this isn’t all happening.

Susan Quinn: When Can We Call It a Cabal?

When it starts affecting the weather?

    https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trayon-white-dc-weather-conspiracy_us_5aaf44eae4b0c33361b1d894

For those of you who missed it, there’s this from Basil:

A Washington, D.C. Democratic lawmaker is apologizing after posting a video in which he blamed late-winter snow on Jewish bankers.

“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man. Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation,” Trayon White Sr., who sits on the city council, said in the video. “And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city.’ And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”

    He did apologize later. Right.

    Someone fired McCabe.

Yes. But I just heard on Fox News that he will still collect most of his pension with slight delay in distribution. Anyone seen anything in the news on that?

Someone who was just fired. It’ll come to you.

    Yeah, I figured that out just as I posted it–doh. Let’s see, Andrew something-or-other . . .

I spoke out with the desire for clarity and accuracy: if it’s a cabal, I want/need those facts to come out so we can make at least some effort to bring people to justice. On the other hand, the idea of an organized cabal is truly frightening.

Getting fired doesn’t mean you forfeit your pension, to which you contributed while you were working. McCabe will not be entitled to an immediate early law enforcement annuiity, but will be entitled to a deferred annuity when he reaches regular retirement age.

So the penalty for his breaking the law is a deferred annuity? Or is not following the code of conduct legal?

The penalty for violating workplace standards of conduct is that you get fired from your job using administrative procedures. The penalty for breaking the law is that you get prosecuted using criminal procedures. Two different standards of proof. McCabe has been fired for violating workplace standards. If he’s also suspected of violating criminal statutes, he can be prosecuted for that using criminal procedures.

Susan reading your post and the comments reminds me of Witness by Whittaker Chambers. The conspiracy he laid out was truly jaw dropping. A combination of active Communist Party members & their fellow travelers embedded in the government and subverting U.S. policy to that of the U.S.S.R.

Thanks for your comment, @tribbey. Do you believe this is all exaggerated or that it might have some credibility? I tend to be the down-to-earth type, so I’m fine with being called to task. Recently hearing about the outrageous efforts to murder two ex-spies in England suggests they may still be a danger.

@susanquinn I think it’s probably a combination of planning (by some actors, not all) and what Bob Ross called “happy accidents”.

If you think you are on the “right side of history” and uniformity of thought is a feature, not a bug, it’s not surprising you end up all pulling in the same direction.

Your post also reminded me of the infamous “JournoList”. I was almost surprised when it was uncovered because I didn’t think a group of people in such ideological lockstep needed to review their talking points before publishing.

What’s even more ridiculous is that the JournoList 2.0 was called … the Cabalist!

Candidate Trump said ‘There’s something terribly wrong going on and somebody has to do something’. We see what he was talking about and what a formidable task he has undertaken.

Susan Quinn: Is there more of a plan than just getting rid of Donald Trump in the short term?

If you see this as a Trump-specific thing you are standing much too close.  Trump is an unexpected thorn that amounts to a slightly more than minor irritant during their long progressive march. Getting rid of him would be nice but stalling, distracting, and wasting as much of his (relatively) little time is really more of what the game is all about.  They will gnash their teeth and cause great commotion with every little thing he does for four or eight years but, even in the first few hours after-Trump, they will openly laugh in our faces at just how easy it was for them and their army of useful idiots to frustrate every moment, every issue, every day with charade after bogus charade just to force him to bleed off as much political capital as possible.

Trump has made it interesting so far, displaying a certain amount of antifragility to this game, but don’t expect that to last.  At best, his game clock is very limited. When that expires our other two parties will simply lick their wounds and resume the march.

I may be naive but I think much of the organization and focus of the left was a response to Trump. A Walker or Rubio candidacy wouldn’t have pressed as many panic buttons.

Were there unique Trump provocations? Sure.

But here’s where I am less naive: much of the drive and indefatigable effort of the slow coup is driven by the fear that Trump might actually follow through on immigration restriction, the Iran Deal, the Paris Accords and Jerusalem.

The Left cares very deeply about immigration, Iran, Paris and Jerusalem. The Left everywhere. And one of the cardinal beliefs of the American Left is that there is no American exceptionalism on the Left, only failure of nerve.

Yes, you are naive.  Trump had nothing to do with the left’s ongoing efforts to reduce America to another big socialist state, run by them.  Like your last paragraph says, the left here is the left everywhere.  They hate us for our success and our freedom, and all that they do is intended to weaken and subvert us.

Give me one policy, appointment or treaty that Bill Clinton or B Hussein Obama promulgated, which had as its goal the strengthening of America, the improvement of our international status, the increasing of our people’s freedom.  I defy you to find even one.

These guys love themselves and hate America.  That fact, you can take to the bank.

Agree on Rice, among the worst of the deep state.  Which begs the question- who would be the single best representative of the deep state?  It’s tough to narrow it down to one name.

I’m just happy to idea of a deep state is beginning to take hold with the American people, maybe folks are waking up?

    Susan,

I think, in some ways, the whole ruling class is a big cabal. They go to the same schools, they marry each other, they all live in the same circles. Oh, people like to deride the “Georgetown cocktail parties”, but that is a shorthand for what is going on. They swim in water they cannot see because they swim in it. Everyone outside is deplorable in some way. This is not a party thing, but a class thing. And is is not a class thing in the American sense of who has money, but in a more social standing. Trump is not part of their class and never will be.

I don’t think Sam Walton would have been either.
