We Don’t Care What You Think

Been working since 4 am and that, combined with SJWs on Twitter, I may be a little testy. I apologize, sort of, if this offends anyone, but for those of you that want to rip down our monuments, take down flags and/or whatever other symbols in the South offend people’s sensibilities now, here’s the deal.

If you don’t live here then we don’t want your damn opinion about our monuments, etc. You’re not here, so guess what? You don’t have to look at it! Go about your day and try to forget about us honoring our war dead or people we think were heroic, if not perfect leaders. After all, in the SJW world view, Lincoln himself was racist as well, so it won’t be long before we tear down the Lincoln Memorial. We know now that history began with Obama’s election, so why even acknowledge the past has been a bit more complicated than today’s college student at Evergreen may understand.

The South is plenty conflicted already about race, poverty, the war, and how we feel about some of our collective guilt and whatnot. Now Antifa is going all Taliban on us and tearing down any monuments they feel offends their Social Justice dogma. So don’t take up for them, don’t defend their position, don’t explain how they are really right but just a little overboard on their implementation.

They are wrong and most importantly we don’t give a good G.D. what they think. They need to go back to Seattle or wherever the hell they came from (probably UNC). As far as the Nazis and Antifa protesters go, is Virginia out of rubber bullets and fire hoses or something?

I heard the story as it was passed down
About guts and glory and Rebel stands
Four generations, a whole lot has changed
Robert E. Lee
Martin Luther King
We’ve come a long way rising from the flame
Stay out the way of the southern thing

VICE Magazine headline ‘Let’s Get Rid of Mt Rushmore’

The author states- “I visited Mount Rushmore in the summer of 2015, and it’s nothing like Abe Lincoln squatting on his (recently vandalized) throne or George Washington’s phallus towering over everything in DC. Instead, Rushmore is a testament to the human ability to conquer nature in our own image. Standing in front of it conjured feelings of both wonder and disgust in me. Obviously, Washington and Thomas Jefferson were remarkable individuals who helped usurp British rule in America and, eventually, establish a new empire. But they also enslaved their fellow man, committing special kinds of inhumane acts that should never be confined to footnotes. Unfortunately, that is exactly how those troublesome truths are treated when you face the awesome grandeur of Rushmore, a monument so incredible it obscures the multifaceted nature of these old dudes, transmogrifying them from individuals with a capacity both for greatness and evil into pure American deities.”

Virtue signaling while demonstrating they don’t give a sh*t about any principles.

The ultimate ideological goal of the left- “Burn it, burn it all down”.

And the real gas for the fire is the cowering of the right… “Molotov cocktails for everyone!”

For those who are interested in reading the entire article, it can be found here.

Yeah I saw it and linked to it on twitter.  Have also seen people declaring the Jefferson memorial must go (called it), an Abraham Lincoln bust was set on fire in (i think) Chicago, on and on.  The left is anti-American and they will go as far as we let them with this s$^&.

    Called it!

    Here’s CNN’s own Angela Rye:

“The heart of the problem is the way many of us were taught American history. American history is not all glorious. I love John to death, I couldn’t disagree more about George Washington. George Washington was a slave owner. We need to call slave owners out for what they are. Whether we think they were protecting American freedom or not. He wasn’t protecting my freedom. I wasn’t someone – my ancestors weren’t deemed human beings to him. To me, I don’t care if it’s a George Washington statue or a Thomas Jefferson statue or a Robert E. Lee statue, they all need to come down…I’m calling out white supremacy for what it is. And sometimes, what it is, John, are blind spots. Sometimes what it is, is not acknowledging this country was built upon a very violent past that resulted in the death and the raping and the killing of my ancestors. I’m not going to allow us to say it’s okay for Robert E. Lee but not a George Washington. We need to call it what it is.”

I’m keeping a low profile lest they start picketing my house and kicking my cane out from under me.

Whether these monuments should stay or go should be a decision made by local communities. As a Yankee from the yankeeist of all places, Massachusetts :) I feel blindsided by what is happening. Last week, no one cared about these statues: this week, it’s all anybody talks about. I totally agree with those who say that we can’t give the left anything, or else they will take everything, but the left is over reaching, and this will sooner or later end up blowing up in their faces. What they are doing right now, and what they will continue to do is probably ensuring a second term for Trump.

I’m glad to hear this because if a statue commemorating the Confederacy belongs anywhere, a battlefield park like Gettysburg is it. To remove one from someplace like that would be truly sad.

Good luck preventing that in the future if we surrender now.

I will defend the honor of my Southern ancestors against all who would demean them. Those who are tearing down monuments and other symbols are ideological fanatics wish to take us to Year Zero.

Southern? I thought you were from Texas.

Texas is the crown jewel of the South!

I spent a few weeks there, mainly the Dallas area. That was long enough to realize that to a true Texan everything outside the boundaries of the state is just … unnecessary.

Welp, I hope those of you who still don’t get it will open your eyes now. Ms. Rye is the one who doesn’t “call it what it is,” but that’s irrelevant to me now. She’s just a useful idiot. The important thing to remember about the Left, and I speak as a former Leftist, is that the stated agenda is never the real one. Never. This has never been about the statues or the Confederate flag. They’re only the latest fake cause they’re using to destroy us from within. And each time we give them an inch, they’ll take a mile. Wake up, people, and stop dignifying them with a response. You’re playing right into their hands every time you do. I’m appalled to see how many people are letting them. The Confederate flag is suddenly so triggering? Well it didn’t bother them too much as recently as 1992:
