Easter Sunday Photos of Paris

The light, alas, wouldn’t quite cooperate with me, and it was much colder out than I expected. I didn’t have a sweater with me, so I didn’t stay out long enough to catch everyone coming out of church in their Easter best. But as I promised MarciN, here are flowers, gardens, springtime, and Easter treats from my neighborhood in Paris. Taken just a few minutes ago.

Happy Easter to one and all!

What does your neighborhood look like today?

Lovely pictures of my three favorite things beginning with “F”–food, flowers and fashion! Enjoy a fantastic, if bit frigid Easter, Claire!

Yes, my eye is clearly drawn to the same things … there were some lovely spring dresses in some of the windows, too, but I only thought to take out my camera after I’d passed them. Next time.

I know we men can’t expect women to dress like it’s Easter every day. But if women wore bright and elegant dresses more often, we would probably all be a bit more cheerful… provided we didn’t have to wait while y’all prettied up. ?

Those chocolate clams are cool and unexpected.

Here are a few pictures I took this past week of Spring (TX) in the spring.

    Have a blessed Easter, all.

Beautiful! The lizard knew it was a Kodak moment!

Happy Easter Birthday, Percival (from another Easter birthday person)!  Here it Everett, Washington it was 61 and partly cloudy when I walked to the nearby convenience store to get the Sunday paper (no subscription for me). Beautiful pictures of Paris, Claire.  Thank you.

Lovely photos Claire. The raspberry confection looks deliriously delicious.

Was thinking exactly the same thing – especially after the third photo of them.

Thanks for a piece of Paris this morning, Claire

Hi Claire. This is what Mark made for us to celebrate Easter. Sorry I cannot figure out how to make it larger.

MBeautiful photos. But without the connection to Christ, our Saviour, it all seems a bit empty. God Bless

This thread has made me smile all day.

I am thinking I will return the favor, and around the Fourth of July, I shall get pictures of Cape Cod’s beautiful blue mophead hydrangeas:

    It was a lovely day.

I felt it was unwise to take pictures of the three heavily-armed soldiers on duty outside the Easter service in the 16th.

The soldiers are camera-shy. I’ve tried. You have to be discreet about it.

That’s stunning! I remember a house in Chatham whose long walkway to front door was lines with blue hydrangeas.

Sure beats brooding over Erdogan, doesn’t it?  If only there were no such thing as “Monday”.

We had a beautiful day in New York, though unusually warm.  I didn’t take pictures though.  I was able to play catch with my son who is seven years old.  He’s just starting to get the hang of catching with a baseball glove.

Thank you Claire.  Happy Passover and Easter to all.

By the way, this was one of the rare confluences where Eastern Orthodox Easter, western Christian Easter, and Passover all came together on the calendar.

I used to live in Parker, CO in the Pinery and could see the whole front range. I never tired of that view. Nice photo, Dean.

Now that y’all have had a chance to marvel, I can tell the secret.

the only place you can see the Peak from my property is the upstairs bathroom window.  I took off the screen so the picture would be better.
