Trink, I love The Globe Thistle Bar.
Oh thank you, Ansonia. It’s one of my favorites :)
All beautiful!! They reminded me of the beautiful seasons of nature and of life. My husband came home yesterday and said I’ll take an extra large Sangria tonight – he had a tough day physically on the job – he said I’m no spring chicken anymore, that’s for sure. I said that’s ok – we’ll share ice packs tonight…..My birthday’s tomorrow and every year at this time “As the World Turns” something else happens – this year I have to have a cataract removed – I was the youngest person in the doctor’s office….ugh. I was wondering why the tree stumps in our back woods resembled bears. Your pictures and poetry cheered me – and yes I could see them!
PS When we lived in Mass, one of my co-workers went to Scotland to get married and honeymoon in a real castle – can you imagine planning that one? They pulled a couple off the street to stand up for them! They brought me back globe thistle seeds.
Awwww . . . Front Seat Cat – Thank you so much. There’s very little “spring chicken” left in hubby and I, but we’re grateful to be on the right side of the grass. I guess most of us eventually face the cataract issue. I’m sorry you got an early start. I try to keep reminding myself that we’re lucky to live in a time when “broken” hearts can be repaired and cataract surgery will convert bears back in to stumps. You haven’t lost your sense of humor and I’m so grateful that you could see and comment on my poems.
Happy Birthday! Hope the sun shines and your hubby is sharing that ice pack :)
