So… what’d you think of the game?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have captured Cleveland’s first major sports title in 52 years, thanks to an epic 93-89 Game 7 win over the Golden State Warriors on the road. The Cavaliers won three straight games when facing elimination to capture the title.

Thought Ty Lue had a brilliant strategy of slowing the game down and using up most of the shot clock.  It slowed down Golden States offense and they didn’t get as many open looks as they normally do.  Golden State can go on a 10-o run in seconds.  There offense relies on creating chaos and open space.  Cleveland made Golden State play their game.  Cleveland’s  defense was amazing in the 4th quarter and props for Love for playing incredible defense of Curry on the last possession.

Kevin Durant possibly signing with Golden State doesn’t seem so absurd now.  Massive upgrade over Harrison Barnes.  Barnes had a horrible series.

Considering that Lue is often considered to be LeBron’s puppet, it certainly looked to me like he outcoached Kerr last night.  Cleveland’s defense down the stretch was really good, but I’m still wondering how Kerr could not get more open looks for a team with GS’s offensive options.  They had no penetration.
