Gain of (Power) Functions
We are all familiar with the names, terms and acronyms like: Woke, CRT, BLM, Antifa, Equity, 1619 Project, Transphobia, Cancel Culture, Vaccine passports, Gender Pronouns, January 6th, Right-Wing Terrorism, #MeToo, even the word ‘Democracy’ when used singularly by Joe Biden. And the list goes on. These are all instruments – tools – of the Left to gain power. Their means and ends are for pure power. Not to help people, not to better the United States – goodness no. Most of these are direct attacks on individual liberty and freedoms, but others are designed to trick us into voluntarily self-emolliating. The ends are to get and hold power. Borrowing from the present COVID issue, these are gain of power functions.
More Gain of Power Functions …
Hire 80,000 IRS agents: Investigate Americans more and more and raise campaign contributions to the Democrat party through IRS union dues. $40 per employee per month times 80,000 times 12 is $38 million more a year for Democrat campaign coffers. All government union positions are cash feedback systems to Democrats.
Allowing illegals to enter the US: Votes! Surveys and studies show that %70 of illegals would vote for Democrats. The process will be to give them driver licenses (Motor Voter law), then to “accidently” register them to vote at DMV’s. Last resort: amnesty for all. An instant generation or two of loyal Democrats.
Forcing vaccine passports: Submit to government rule, give up your sovereignty, become a subject of the U.S. Government. Disobey your state if you live in Florida or Texas. Transition to a national government instead of a federal government.
Global climate change: Do what American Socialists have been advocating for 80 years: Top down, one-size-fits-all, central planning government. Take your cars, and mobility. But it’s all for the earth.
CRT: Bash the USA and tear down our racist institutions. And the only way to fix it — the only solution — is a new form of government and that’s a Bernie Sanders style of government.
Toxic masculinity: Stop defending yourself and lie down. Depend of government. Be cooperative and not competitive because Socialism is all about cooperation.
Spending trillions of dollars: The only way to pay it back is soaking the rich, then the middle class, then take over businesses, then take wealth, and then you end up with Socialism.

Good summary. I see a list of classic Leftist tactics.
Maoism–create an ever escalating cult of hate with overt symbols of loyalty (masks, vaccine passports)
Marxism–create division between elements to destabilize society. Not on class/wealth but on race. (CRT, 1619, cancel culture, White rage, J6 persecution, IRS army)
Cloward-Piven–overwhelm the system to destroy the system (open borders, endless debt, inflation, supply shortages, mandates)
Every action is designed to weaken the national identity and empower oligarchs and Democrat machines.

Secondly, I like the reference to gain of function, and the thought that what the left does is as sinister as what was probably going on in the Wuhan lab, and similarly destructive. This was a good catch on your part, and I think it’s worth developing. There are interesting parallels to be explored having to do with relationships: between viruses and bad ideas; between good intentions and unintended outcomes; between caution and hubris.

I read this as 70% of illegals vote for Democrats. This momentarily raised by sense of impropriety, then I shrugged my shoulders, and fortunately reread it properly. But still in the back of my mind I think that 70% of voting illegals vote Democrat.
I’m sure both apply.
