Merriam-Webster finds that “expert” is now officially separating from “experience” and real-world feedback in general which seems timely. Maybe the main definition should be “one claiming special skill or knowledge representing mastery of a particular subject such that one demands deference while simultaneously becoming incapable of further learning or of rigorously applying such special knowledge.” […]
