…and Just Like That, the Nord Stream Pipelines Went Kaboom!

Last night, the twin pipelines supplying Russian natural gas to Germany blew up.  Specifically, they were both breached below the surface of the Baltic Sea, near Danish and Swedish territorial waters.  Almost certainly sabotage, based both on the time coincidence, and a Swedish seismologist’s estimate that at least 100kg of explosive was used.

This sabotage was not a trivial exercise.  It would presumably require a ROV, large underwater drone and/or a submarine to place the charges accurately.  There’s a limited supply of such equipment and expertise. And it would likely require a large enough team that it will eventually leak, even if there’s no obvious forensic information to be gathered.

Running Afoul of the Alphabet People

There’s a story out of Seattle about Dick Clarke, an 85-year-old man who for the last 18 years rang a bell for the Salvation Army during every holiday season, collecting money for the homeless outside of Nordstrom’s downtown store. During those years he raised more than $100,000 for the cause. He also gained a whole lot of personal satisfaction, telling a reporter, “I probably get more out of it than I put into it, because I get hugs, I get kisses, I get lots of ‘thank yous.’ It’s just one of those happy times for me.”

But all good things must come to an end, especially in this age of social justice tyranny. You see, it doesn’t matter how much you actually help people. What matters is whether or not you fall in line with “woke” ideology, and the Salvation Army, due to it being a Christian organization and not being on board with homosexual marriage, fails miserably. Therefore, it has to go, and Dick Clarke with it, all because some LGBT employees at Nordstrom were made to feel “uncomfortable” by their presence.

The Press and the President’s Daughter

The general rule guiding the press and the offspring of a sitting President is hands-off unless the child has reached adulthood. Then everything is fair game, especially when it comes to that adult child’s chosen profession.

But the President is still a father, no? So, what happens when that fatherly instinct takes over? What happens when the President of the United States threatens a Washington Post columnist with physical harm?

What should you do with a President that is so unstable, so undeferential to the role of the free press in our society that he would have the temerity to write this to the columnist:
