Trump, the Ayatollah, and the Bomb

Just today, a friend on this site told me that the crude and violent rhetoric bombastically delivered by our Secretary of War, Lord protect and lead him, Pete Hegseth was directed to the enemy, not his fellow countrymen or subordinates. Clearly, they took his words, and Trump’s own bombastics, and belligerence, to heart. Despite Shia reservations about the irresponsibility of having or using a nuclear weapon given the unavoidable harm such weapons represent to civilians, Pakistan, and now Trump, believe Iran has arranged to accept such weapons. A demonstration in the Iranian desert is expected shortly.

Larry Johnson, former CIA analyst, has been working the story for several days, providing details on various Rumble interviews and his site, Sonar 21:

No, I have not been given access to NSA Sigint, but I have confirmed that the phone call last week between Iranian President Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shariff was over a non-secure line. I am reliably informed that this was done deliberately by the Iranians and Pakistanis — i.e., the Iranians and Pakistanis were counting on the Americans and the Israelis to be listening in. The key part of the conversation between Pezeshkian and Shariff was this:

President Masoud Pezeshkian communicated a formally structured, three-step strategic ultimatum if US strikes continued:

1. Immediate Withdrawal from the ongoing nuclear peace talks.
2. Total Abandonment of the prospective Nuclear Treaty framework.
3. The Detonation of a Nuclear Device on Iranian soil—executed not as a weapon of war, but as an undeniable demonstration of sovereign capability and ultimate control over the escalation ladder.

When Marco Rubio was called an hour or so later by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, and received the same message, the White House knew that the information was legitimate. While the US intelligence community probably cannot confirm that Iran actually does have a functioning nuke, the Pakistanis believe the Iranians do. The intercepted chat between Pezeshkian and Shariff, followed by Rubio’s conversation with Ishaq Dar, convinced Trump and his advisors that Iran was not making a hollow threat.

There are many ancient tales of a prophecy that was fulfilled solely because of the prophecy itself. At the start of this war, it was the unanimous determination of the many, many US intelligence agencies that there was no sign of an active nuclear weapons program in Iran, nor any sign of an intention to have one. The voice that insisted an Iranian nuclear device was weeks away, again, as it had for decades, this time finally prevailed. The war was on to deny Iran ever possessing nuclear weapons, pinching critical global supply chains in the process. Brace for the consequences, whether this means peace or continued war, the worst is still ahead of us.

Lord have mercy on all of our souls.

I would like to know if the Iranian – Pakistani conversation actually occurred .   If it did,  I would like to know if the Iranians are bluffing or actually do have a bomb.    If they have a bomb,  I would like to know if they manufactured it or were given it by an outside power,   If they were given a bomb,   I would like to know which outside power gave them the bomb.

All good questions. Mr. Johnson answering similar question from Judge Napolitano:
